STRENGTHENING DEFENCE TIES
The 8th India-Myanmar Army-to-Army Staff Talks, held at Nay Pyi Taw, focused on enhancing bilateral military cooperation through joint training, exercises, capacity building and professional exchanges.
The #IndianArmy delegation also interacted with the Chief of Armed Forces Training, Myanmar Army, to strengthen ongoing collaboration and explore new avenues of engagement.
Reaffirming India's commitment to capacity building, training simulators were handed over to the Myanmar Army, further reinforcing bilateral military ties and mutual trust.

INDIAN ARMY INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME 2026-27 | FOSTERING INNOVATION
The #IndianArmy signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Education Technology Forum, @AICTE, to offer internships in emerging domains including AI, Quantum Computing, Cyber Security, Financial Technology, Human Resource Management, Operational Logistics, Advanced Warfare Systems and Strategic Communications.
The initiative will provide interns hands-on exposure to the defence ecosystem under the mentorship of Indian Army officers and domain experts, fostering innovation and future-ready skills.

EMPOWERING FUTURES - COMMITMENT TO WELFARE
The #IndianArmy has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (#MoU) with Swami Vivekanand Subharti University to enhance educational opportunities for wards of Army personnel and their families.
The MoU provides 100% fee concession for 10 wards of Veer Naris/War Widows, 50% each for 10 wards of disabled/medically boarded-out personnel and 10 wards of Gallantry Awardees and 25% for wards of Veterans and Serving Personnel.
The initiative reaffirms the #IndianArmy's commitment to the welfare of its extended fraternity through education and empowerment.

STRENGTHENING MILITARY COOPERATION
The inaugural India-Tanzania Army-to-Army Staff Talks, held in New Delhi from 27 to 29 October 2026, focused on strengthening bilateral defence cooperation through military education, training exchanges and capacity building.
The Tanzanian delegation visited 505 Army Base Workshop and DPSU Bhawan, gaining insights into India's military maintenance capabilities and indigenous defence manufacturing. The delegation also paid homage to the fallen heroes at the National War Memorial.
The engagement reinforced mutual trust and the shared commitment towards deeper military cooperation.

The fabricated narrative further alleges that the government prioritises its own interests over the Indian Army, while outdated equipment causes losses and frustration among soldiers.

Mission Ready. Future Focused.
#GeneralDhirajSeth, #COAS, visited Ibex Brigade at Joshimath and forward areas in the strategically significant Middle Sector of the Northern Borders, in the #Garhwal region, reviewing operational preparedness, technology integration and inter-agency synergy. He also visited Mana, India’s #FirstVillage in the region and interacted with the local community.
During the visit, COAS was briefed on all aspects of capability development and initiatives taken to further strengthen combat capability. The #COAS commended all ranks for their professionalism and dedication while serving in the Sector’s inhospitable, high-altitude terrain. He exhorted all ranks to embrace ‘VIJAY’, the five-point framework for building an agile, future-ready force, capable of responding at short notice across the full spectrum of operations.
The #COAS also emphasised the importance of proactive HADR planning, through joint exercises and close coordination with civil agencies to ensure swift and effective response to any contingency.
