Alpha FC is turning football sponsorships into onchain auctions anyone can bid on
@alphafcxyz on how Alpha FC plans to generate more revenue than traditional ownership:
"You'll be able to go on the Alpha FC platform, see a digital representation of the pitch, click on a pitch side billboard and buy it or bid on it. Same thing with kit sponsorships."
"This year we have @phantom, @Raydium and @bonk_inu sponsoring the club on the kit. Down the line, we expect anyone to be able to bid on the sponsorships. Clubs will generate more revenue on Alpha FC than in traditional ownership."
The ATFC token sale has closed with $168,600 raised.
Thank you to everyone who participated and believed in the vision of bringing football clubs onchain.
After reviewing the final result, we do not believe this amount provides @AlfretonTownFC with the capital required to meaningfully improve operations.
In the club’s best interests, and out of fairness to participants, we will be refunding the sale.
USDC contributions have been automatically refunded to the wallets they were sent from.
We still believe the future of club ownership is tokenized, distributed, and more open to supporters around the world.
We’ll go back to the drawing board, learn from this process, and keep pushing toward that future.
