I volunteer at my church. I greet first time visitors and show them around.
I’ve seen women come in wearing tube tops and tight pants. I’ve seen men come in wearing t shirts with skulls and heavy metal bands.
And we praise the Lord they are there. They need to hear about Jesus too.
Woman at church yesterday showed up in a sweatshirt and literal pajama pants. Wore her hood the entire service. I was absolutely appalled. I hate this whole, “came as you are” narrative the Protestant church preaches. Other religions wouldn’t let you in if you dressed so disrespectfully. Why is it only Christian’s that are held to this standard? That we must just accept everything?
I cannot even begin to imagine caring what someone else wears to church if they aren't disrupting the service
