Folks: if you haven't tried C# and .NET for web development in the last 10 years, there is a pleasant surprise waiting for you.
.NET is a fast, productive, open-source, command-line-first ecosystem of programming languages and tools that you can use for free
I’ve spent this morning tweaking more of DayFrame and I’m working on a Mac version as well as a bunch of appearance improvements
The preview 3 version included a new Mass Transit module so you can get bus and train schedules.
I’ve got my first cut of DayFrame working on a Mac. It’s not great…
Yet…
But I have live tiles on a Mac!
LETS GO!!!
Real talk: setting up the exact combination of Mac tools to work with .NET MAUI is not for the feint of heart
.. but now I have DayFrame building on Apple hardware
I'm getting a Mac version of DayFrame ready using .NET MAUI. Tune in and let's explore the changes and fixes needed to enable Mac targeting for DayFrame.

Does anyone else have challenges managing the build timing and servers they run GitHub actions?
I’m constantly going over budget when building with Windows servers. I’m really worried about using the Mac servers since they have a higher rate, and I’m probably going to setup a local Mac to run builds
I’m spending my morning drinking a fresh cup of coffee and chasing down a bug report that uses a free German email service with DayFrame
I’ve never been so excited to build and work with .NET MAUI apps. I think I may start on the Mac version adaptation today on stream
I have so many thoughts for my 60,000 former colleagues who received letters from Microsoft today.
I’m going to gather my thoughts and we’ll talk about it tomorrow morning on my live stream
I’ve been doing some bug fixes and packaging work for the first official public release of DayFrame
The Microsoft Store has a test version and I’m going to improve the content in the store for this next release. Looks for it in the next day
I’m very excited to get this into your hands
The website updates look good with some great screenshots

I'm putting together some sample screenshots of DayFrame and I've got this one as I review College Football scores today.
This is the level of tile customization and fun I want you to be able to have with the app
Let's do a LIVE CODING stream today, and I'm going to do something RARE on a live stream. Today, I'm going to publish an application to the @WindowsStore! Join me as we finish preparations and publish DayFrame to the store for anyone to download
I need to pass on today's live stream... I'm not feeling well, and I'll schedule something for tomorrow afternoon.
Question: do you trust new applications in the time of AI that those apps aren’t selling your data or training their AI on your data?
Meta and Google and other companies have destroyed the value of a privacy policy.
Do you trust applications with your data?
This is just one piece of my vision of what DayFrame can do.
I'm building the ULTIMATE personal productivity app, with all the bells and whistles
AND LIVE TILES
It's going to be available to the public in November, subscribers can get it now
I've been tuning the performance of DayFrame live on stream, and there's so many cool updates that you need to see and learn how I'm improving Claude to work better with my .NET MAUI app
