I was thrilled to meet with Rabbi and Rebbetzen Zobin, together with our Leeds Shalem fellows, at the historic launch of our Leeds Shalem Fellowship.
I was deeply inspired by the vitality, joy and unity that I witnessed on my visit to Leeds JSoc. Congratulations to Joseph Berg and his leadership team, together with the outstanding Chaplains, Rabbi and Rebbetzen Zobin.
It was a privilege for me to open the new Nursery and Reception Playground at Rosh Pinah Primary School. May these new facilities bring joy to the teachers and pupils of this wonderful school.
Antisemitism is the ultimate othering, often driven by ignorance which is the enemy of the cohesive and empathetic society we wish to build for all citizens.
With this in mind, the Bell Review reveals a deeply troubling level of antisemitism in our schools and colleges and is a painful indication of how far the situation has deteriorated.
I commend Sir David Bell for his important work and hope that recognising antisemitism as a potential safeguarding concern will prove to be a significant step towards protecting Jewish pupils.
I also welcome the Government’s decision to adopt all 27 of its recommendations and look forward to seeing them implemented in full.

Antisemitism has no place in our schools and colleges.
Sir David Bell’s report sets out what needs to change, informed by the experiences of Jewish communities and those working in education.

I was privileged to officiate at the special service to celebrate the centenary of the Arnside Road synagogue in Southport. Congratulations to Adrian Fletcher and his leadership team for their outstanding service to the community.
When addressing the Rabbinical Council of the Provinces in Leeds today, I congratulated them on the outstanding leadership they are providing to their communities during these exceptionally challenging times.
My visits to the King David Schools in Manchester are always exceptionally inspiring. Congratulations to all concerned for ensuring that the King David Schools continue to be the pride of UK Jewry.

JRC Chief Executive, Marc Levy had the pleasure to meet with the Chief Rabbi, Sir Ephraim Mirvis to thank him for his continued support for Heaton Park Synagogue and the wider Greater Manchester Jewish community.
The Chief Rabbi has been a frequent and hugely valued presence in Manchester and his leadership means a great deal to our whole community.
At the JRC, we greatly value our close relationship with the Chief Rabbi and his team. Together, we work to advocate for the Jewish community across a broad range of issues ensuring that Jewish voices are heard and understood.
At a time when effective representation, strong partnerships and visible leadership are more important than ever, this collaboration is invaluable in ensuring our voice is heard by government and wider society.
