It’s because you are doing this all wrong that politicians have that outsized of an influence on your life. Never teach any kids I care about, please.
I taught a class yesterday at LMU, went to vote, did a quick happy hour beer and to-go at my fave spot near campus and went home yesterday. got back around 4:30p PT exhausted from the last couple days. got straight in bed. Woke up an hour ago in a brand new country
if anyone deserves to walk away on their own terms, it's the indomitable Michael Ray Wilbon. from professional idol, to colleague, to friend, I will always root for him in every path he takes.
the story below is old, but for those who have not known his grace, give it a read
quick personal story for. if you don’t know, this is @RealMikeWilbon. 20+ years ago, this man very much changed the course of my career and thus life. To casually see him around the studio and be friends with him is still sorta surreal, no matter how many times we kick it.

Christian Yelich on this:
“You walk by the cage and see the cigs lit and you’re like, the boys are ready to rock.”

John Wall says he still texts his mother every morning and night and has continued to pay her phone bill to keep her number active since she passed away in 2019
“I made sure I paid the bill for that for the rest of the time I’m going to be on this earth, so I can send my daily text in the morning and my daily text at night”
“It helps me. I know she can’t respond, but I can still send my messages and know that nobody else has her number. And sometimes you have your moments when you just sitting at home and you just reflect”
“And I always look at pictures and reflect. My display screen on my phone is my first game against the Sixers, and we win the game and I give her a hug, and I always keep that as my bio picture”
