Laura Boillot of Article 36 highlighted how arms transfers aren’t an “abstract policy decision” but have the power to "reinforce patterns of harm.” Given the severity of these arms transfers, she explained an argument to connect the ATT risk assessment to the EWIPA Declaration.

Liubov Hutsul, Advocacy and Communications Senior Officer @ Humanity & Inclusion from Ukraine, spoke on the “growing patterns of violence that shape civilian lives”. She provided a firsthand account of what it’s like to live under armed conflict, where there is “no safe place.”

CSP12 President Tsholofelo highlighted the importance of the work of the ATT Monitor and civil society more broadly, urging civil society to “please remain engaged, please keep challenging us.”
