Today's Exhibit of the Day? A colossal amethyst geode! At ~13 ft (4 m) tall & 9,000 lbs (4,082 kg), it's as heavy as 3 compact cars. Formed 135 million years ago, it started as colorless quartz—becoming purple after millennia of natural radiation, heat, & trace contaminants.

The occupation is horrible and unjust.
Hamas is monstrous, and has been a terrible peace partner, actively harming Palestinian cause.
Netanyahu is a thug and criminal.
The kidnap, rape and murder of civilians, no matter who’s doing it, is terrorism.
Are we all clear on this?

Sometimes there is value in tradition.
"S & P Lunch manages to feel almost exactly like Eisenberg’s while being different in almost every particular. The new owners… understood the Platonic ideal of the space transcends any individual item of décor."

Pearly Young, 77, was killed today in #Buffalo shopping for groceries.
For 25 years she ran a pantry where every Saturday she fed people in Central Park. Every. Saturday.
She loved singing, dancing, & being with family.
She was mother, grandma, & missionary. Gone too soon 🕊

🚨 NEWS: The Senate just unanimously passed my Emmett Till #AntilynchingAct.
Despite more than 200 attempts to outlaw this heinous form of racial terror at the federal level, it has never before been done.
Today, we corrected that historic injustice. Next stop: @POTUS's desk!
