Cryptio × @utila_io: Bringing independent reconciliation and accounting to digital asset operations.
Wallet infrastructure secures and moves assets. An independent reconciliation and accounting layer adds another level of confidence by verifying balances and transactions against on-chain data.
We're partnering with Utila to connect its institutional wallet infrastructure directly to Cryptio's independent accounting and reconciliation layer.
Through our live integration, institutions can:
▪️ Independently reconcile wallet balances and transactions against on-chain data
▪️ Automate accounting and financial reporting across high volumes of activity
▪️ Maintain clear separation between asset operations and financial oversight
▪️ Streamline month-end close and audit preparation
The result: secure wallet operations, independently reconciled financial records, and a stronger foundation for institutional digital asset finance.

🎬 Back Office Odyssey | Episode 2/4: Introducing Odyssey
Our AI-generated Odyssey continues. This time, our fictional CFO reaches a rather unusual destination, where our CPO Thanos Bismpigiannis is waiting to introduce Cryptio Odyssey.
Behind the mythology is a fundamental evolution in how we deliver financial infrastructure.
At its core remains Cryptio's trusted, independent data layer, bringing together on-chain and off-chain financial activity into one reliable foundation.
Built on top are our upgraded applications across reconciliation, accounting and fund administration, including our new Reconciliation Engine and expanded support for complex instruments such as derivatives and perpetuals.
But institutions no longer need to interact with that infrastructure exclusively through our platform. With APIs, MCP connectivity and forward-deployed applications, they can integrate Cryptio into their existing systems or build tailored workflows of their own.
One trusted foundation. More powerful applications. More ways to build.
🎬 Back Office Odyssey | Episode 1/4: The Odyssey Begins
We took the name "Odyssey" a little too literally and made a tongue-in-cheek AI video series about the digital asset back office.
Meet Mark, a fictional bank CFO tasked with transforming his institution's back office for digital assets. Naturally, his search for answers takes him on a rather unexpected journey...
But the challenge Mark faces is very real.
Supporting digital asset activity means bringing together fragmented data across blockchains, custodians, exchanges and internal systems, while maintaining the accounting, reconciliation and controls that financial institutions depend on.
AI is making it easier to build new applications and workflows, but the financial infrastructure underneath remains incredibly difficult to get right.
That's exactly the challenge we're addressing with Cryptio Odyssey.
And yes, that's our CEO Antoine on the ship. ⛵
At Crypto Finance Forum New York, we unveiled Cryptio Odyssey, the next evolution of Cryptio's institutional-grade digital asset infrastructure.
What's new?
▪️ A flexible back-office operating system with forward-deployed applications tailored to each institution's existing systems, workflows and operational requirements.
▪️ APIs and MCP connectivity enabling institutions to access Cryptio's data infrastructure through their own systems and AI-powered agentic workflows.
▪️ The Cryptio Intelligence Suite combining AI, deterministic foundations and expert-maintained accounting knowledge to accelerate policy development, principal-market analysis, reconciliation and financial close.
▪️ A redesigned Cryptio UI delivering a faster, more intuitive and controlled experience for financial teams working alongside AI-enabled workflows.
▪️ An upgraded application suite across reconciliation, accounting and fund administration, including expanded support for derivatives and perpetuals.
▪️ Infrastructure built for institutional scale with 10x greater balance retrieval throughput, 500 million wallets reconciled daily, and 150+ on-chain and off-chain integrations.
What remains at the core?
Cryptio's trusted, independent data layer, ingesting and normalizing on-chain and off-chain financial activity across blockchains, custodians, exchanges and internal systems to provide the accurate, reliable foundation institutions depend on.
One trusted data foundation. More powerful applications. More ways to build.

At Cryptio, we believe that open standards and collaboration across the financial ecosystem are essential to building the next generation of institutional infrastructure.
That's why we're pleased to express our support for the Open Cap Table Coalition and its three founding principles:
• Responsibility: Companies are responsible for maintaining their capitalization records, while equity holders retain applicable rights to their information.
• Company Choice: Companies may use or transfer their capitalization information to the services and technologies they choose.
• Collective Action: Service providers and technology platforms should work together to make capitalization data portable.
These principles reflect our belief that financial data should be accurate, interoperable and reliable across the systems institutions depend on.
We hope to contribute our expertise in digital asset accounting, reconciliation and financial data infrastructure to this important industry initiative.
🤖 Made with AI
At Crypto Finance Forum New York, Aarika Friend (FASB), Marissa Scicchitano (@wolfandcompany), Steven Baum (@cbz) and Geron Morgan (@ForvisMazarsGrp) joined Jeff Rundlet (Cryptio) to discuss some of the hardest accounting and audit questions in digital assets.
A few themes stood out:
🔹 FASB is moving on stablecoins and crypto transfers. Current work covers cash-equivalent treatment, wrapped and receipt tokens, crypto loans and derecognition.
🔹 Stablecoin classification has wider consequences. The treatment of a stablecoin can materially change how liquidity and cash movements appear in financial statements.
🔹 On-chain revenue recognition still lacks consistency. Validator and staking models can produce different gross-versus-net conclusions depending on delegation structures and the mechanics of the underlying chain.
🔹 Smart contracts are becoming an audit issue in their own right. Understanding control, ownership and even whether assets remain safe can require auditors and finance teams to understand the underlying code and controls.

Digital asset accounting gets complicated quickly.
At Crypto Finance Forum NYC, Aarika Friend (FASB), Marissa Scicchitano (@wolfandcompany), Steven Baum (@cbz) and Geron Morgan (@ForvisMazarsGrp) joined our very own Jeff Rundlett for a discussion on some of the toughest questions facing the industry.
How should stablecoins be classified when they don't fit neatly into existing cash definitions? How do smart contracts affect the application of ASC 606? What is a true disposal? And what do auditors need to understand about on-chain activity before they can rely on it?
A great discussion on where the standards stand today, and where more clarity is still needed.
Some highlights below. 👇
At Crypto Finance Forum New York, Francisco Flores (@Securitize), Thomas Wu (@hodlwithLedn), Pankaj Soni (@UpholdInc) and Nadia Asoyan (Alpaca) joined Reza van Roosmalen (@Deloitte) to discuss what it takes to build a finance function that can support growth, institutional capital and the public markets.
A few themes stood out:
🔹 Capital-markets readiness starts early. Audit relationships, controls, systems and specialist finance talent need to be in place well before an IPO or financing process begins.
🔹 Everything still starts with good data. AI, forecasting and automation only work if the underlying financial data is accurate and reconciled.
🔹 Accounting can shape capital strategy. Gross-vs-net presentation, token revenue recognition and regulatory-capital treatment can all affect reported economics and the route to market.
🔹 The routes to capital are expanding. From SPACs and Bitcoin-backed ABS to tokenized equity, digital-asset businesses have a broader set of options available to them.
We unpacked the full discussion in our latest CFF recap.

“The underlying thing is just numbers. You can have all the right AI tools, you can have everything you want to produce that outcome, but at the end of the day, it’s what you start with.”
Thomas Wu, @hodlwithLedn, on why even as financial workflows adopt more AI, everything still starts with good data.
Another great discussion from Crypto Finance Forum NYC, where Thomas joined Nadia Asoyan (Alpaca), Pankaj Soni (@UpholdInc) and Francisco Flores (@Securitize) for our Finance Leaders’ Outlook panel, moderated by Reza van Roosmalen (@Deloitte).
A few other highlights:
📚 Public-company readiness puts serious pressure on finance. Pankaj spoke about completing a PCAOB audit in five months, while Francisco described growing Securitize’s finance team from four people to 23 as specialist reporting, controls and accounting functions became necessary.
💵 Digital-asset businesses are reaching new pools of institutional capital. Ledn’s $188 million Bitcoin-backed ABS was 2x oversubscribed, with its senior tranche receiving a BBB- rating from Samp;P.
🔗 Capital formation itself is changing. Securitize tokenized its own shares on Avalanche and Solana to demonstrate that the technology, model and investor demand could work in practice.
Listen to the speakers themselves below!
At Crypto Finance Forum New York, Thomas Cowan (@Bullish), Johanna Collins-Wood (@Bitwise) and Robert Krugman (@Broadridge) joined our CRO Hemant Pandit to discuss the evolution of tokenization as new regulatory developments continue to emerge, such as the SEC’s recent innovation exemption.
A few themes stood out:
🔹 There are multiple models for tokenized securities, and may each ultimately cater to different parts of the market.
🔹 Traditional and digital market infrastructure will need to run in parallel for years.
🔹 Programmability could make collateral, portfolio management and access to private markets much easier.
🔹 Distribution, custody, adviser adoption and reliable books and records will determine what ultimately scales.
We unpacked the full discussion in our latest CFF recap.

Our CRO Hemant Pandit chatted with industry leaders Robert Krugman from @Broadridge, Thomas Cowan from @Bullish and Johanna Collins-Wood from @Bitwise on Tokenization.
All three perspectives covered. The back-office and governance infrastructure, the issuance and exchange setup, and the asset management layer on top.
#CryptoFinanceForum was electric this year – we're grateful to everyone who participated.
At Crypto Finance Forum New York, Amy Oldenburg (@MorganStanley), Tamara Schulz (@circle), Matthew DeCicco (Cantor Fitzgerald) and Andy Riggs (Augustus) joined our CEO Antoine Scalia to discuss what the new bank stack actually needs to look like as stablecoins, custody and settlement move onto digital rails.
Five takeaways from the conversation:
🏦 Digital assets now touch infrastructure across the institution. Morgan Stanley is increasingly thinking about digital assets as a financial-infrastructure modernization problem spanning systems, operations and governance.
⏱️ 24/7 money changes the operating model. Always-on settlement removes many of the natural pauses banks have historically used to reconcile payments, manage fraud and respond to risk.
🔗 Institutions will likely need to support multiple rails. Different stablecoins, blockchains and regulatory regimes create new integration, governance and control requirements – even before transaction volumes scale.
🧮 Legacy systems are already showing their limits. Identifier lengths, decimal precision and decades-old workflows can all become blockers as institutions try to support digital assets at scale.
📚 Reconciliation is emerging as one of the biggest back-office challenges. On-chain activity still has to reconcile with traditional activity, custody systems and the books and records institutions ultimately report from.
As Tamara put it, even something that looks straightforward on-chain can trigger a chain of questions around legal exposure, source of truth, accounting, custody and reporting when something goes wrong.
The opportunity around stablecoins and on-chain settlement is clearer than ever.
The challenge is building the infrastructure around them so institutions can operate safely at scale.

Always-on money is not just a new payment rail.
It changes how a bank has to be built: the systems it runs, the controls around them, how activity is reconciled, and what happens when markets no longer stop at the end of the business day.
At #CryptoFinanceForum New York, our CEO & founder Antoine Scalia moderated a discussion with Amy Oldenburg from Morgan Stanley, Tamara Schulz from Circle, Matthew DeCicco from Cantor Fitzgerald and Andy Riggs from Augustus on the new bank stack for stablecoins, custody and on-chain settlement.
A few points that stood out:
🏗️ Amy put the infrastructure challenge into concrete terms. Morgan Stanley is having to think about how to onboard and govern activity across as many as 36 blockchains, while some legacy systems cannot even support the identifier lengths or decimal precision digital assets require.
🏦 Andy explained what building for 24/7 money meant at Augustus: building its own bank core and transaction-monitoring system, then managing the balance sheet more conservatively because continuous money movement makes asset-liability management harder.
🌐 Tamara explained what Arc adds to Circle’s infrastructure: a purpose-built network for internet-scale economic activity, with USDC used to create predictable transaction fees while Circle continues to support activity across multiple chains.
📚 Matthew said reconciling on-chain activity with traditional activity and then into books and records has been “by far” the most onerous lift and biggest resource drag for the back and middle office.
🔍 Tamara showed how quickly a simple on-chain error becomes a finance problem. A deposit onto the wrong chain can trigger questions around legal and economic exposure, the source of truth, on-chain versus off-chain records, accounting systems, trust custody and reporting.
The panel made one thing clear: the train has left the station. As Amy put it, CLARITY “doesn’t really stop anything in terms of the activity we’re doing.” Institutions are continuing to build – and the focus is increasingly on how the infrastructure, controls and operating models around digital assets need to change with them.
Catch the highlights below!
The current phase of digital assets has moved beyond proving that institutions can move on-chain. It is about rebuilding banking, capital markets, operations and accounting around an always-on financial system.
When we created CFF, the goal was simple. Bring together the finance and accounting teams working through the practical realities of digital assets. As the market has matured, that room has expanded with it – to CFOs, COOs, heads of digital assets, controllers, auditors, regulators, banks and asset managers.
Five editions later, we are no longer debating whether stablecoins, tokenized securities and digital assets will become part of mainstream finance. We are working through what happens as they do.
This year, leaders from @MorganStanley, @circle, Cantor Fitzgerald, @Broadridge, @Bitwise, @Bullish, @Securitize, @UpholdInc, Alpaca, @hodlwithLedn, FASB, @Deloitte, @wolfandcompany, @cbz, @ForvisMazarsGrp and Augustus joined us in New York.
💡 Some key insights from the forum:
🚂 Morgan Stanley’s Amy Oldenburg said “the train has left the station.” Even CLARITY, she said, “doesn’t really stop anything in terms of the activity we’re doing.” The challenge now is coordinating the infrastructure and regulatory requirements across different businesses and jurisdictions.
🏦 Circle’s Tamara Schulz rejected the idea that stablecoins will replace banks, describing them instead as an extension of regulated money into an “always-on, internet-native economy.”
🔗 Broadridge’s Robert Krugman and Bitwise’s Johanna Collins-Wood highlighted why the transition will be evolutionary. Traditional and digital systems will operate in parallel for the foreseeable future, while most wealth will still be managed through existing investment advisers and distribution channels where trust already exists.
📚 Cantor Fitzgerald’s Matthew DeCicco said reconciling on-chain activity with traditional activity and existing books and records has been “by far” the most onerous lift and biggest resource drag for the back and middle office.
🌐 Bullish’s Thomas Cowan compared tokenization to encryption: infrastructure that underpins almost everything we do online without users having to think about it. “That’s what it will be 10 years from now.”
CFF exists to create the room where banking, capital markets, finance, accounting, audit, regulation and digital-asset infrastructure can be discussed together – because none of these transformations happen in isolation.

Crypto Finance Forum New York 2026 is in full swing at Tribeca360.
With panoramic views over the Hudson and a room full of CFOs, COOs, auditors, regulators and finance leaders, the atmosphere is buzzing with sharp insights, thoughtful questions and candid conversations shaping the future of regulated digital assets.
This morning began with The new bank stack: stablecoins, custody and on-chain settlement, featuring Tamara Schulz (Circle), Amy Oldenburg (Morgan Stanley), Matthew DeCicco (Cantor Fitzgerald) and Andy Riggs (Augustus), moderated by our CEO Antoine Scalia – exploring what stablecoins and on-chain settlement are starting to change about how banks and issuers operate.
Next, Tokenized securities and vaults in the new era of the SEC brought together Robert Krugman (Broadridge), Johanna Collins-Wood (Bitwise) and Thomas Cowan (Bullish), moderated by Hemant Pandit (Cryptio) – unpacking what the SEC’s new generic listing standards mean for how tokenized products actually get built and brought to market.
📢 Just happened: a special announcement from Antoine Scalia, Founder & CEO of Cryptio.
Some early highlights from the stage:
- Institutional adoption is moving faster than the regulatory framework around it. Morgan Stanley’s Amy Oldenburg said that “the train has left the station”: even without full legislative clarity, major institutions are continuing to build – with the harder challenge now being how to operate consistently across multiple jurisdictions and regulatory regimes.
- The biggest challenge is cross-domain operational. As banks bring more activity on-chain, they still have to reconcile it back into decades-old books, records and control frameworks. Across the panel, the question kept coming back to the same thing: what is your source of truth when activity spans blockchains, custodians and traditional financial systems?
- Tokenization may ultimately become invisible infrastructure. Bullish’s Thomas Cowan compared it to the internet's invisible plumbing: "We don't think about encryption at all, but it underpins everything you do on the internet today. Tokenization will be the same."
And the day’s far from over.
After lunch break, still to come:
Finance leaders’ outlook: Navigating capital markets as a digital assets business, with Francisco Flores (Securitize), Pankaj Soni (Uphold), Nadia Asoyan (Alpaca) and Thomas Wu (Ledn), moderated by Reza van Roosmalen (Deloitte) – followed by View from the FASB and leading auditors, with Aarika Friend (FASB), Marissa Scicchitano (Wolf & Company), Steven Baum (CBIZ) and Geron Morgan (Forvis Mazars), moderated by Jeff Rundlet (Cryptio).

SPEAKER ANNOUNCEMENT: Johanna Collins-Wood, General Counsel & Head of Compliance at @Bitwise, will speak at Crypto Finance Forum New York.
Bitwise is a global crypto asset manager with roughly $9 billion in client assets, and has expanded well beyond its flagship Bitcoin ETF, offering more than 70 investment products spanning ETFs, separately managed accounts, private funds, hedge fund strategies and staking.
Over the past year, it launched the first U.S. spot Solana staking ETP alongside new XRP, Chainlink and Avalanche products, and moved directly onchain with the launch of its first tokenized fund, the expansion of its institutional staking capabilities and the introduction of non-custodial vault curation on Morpho.
These developments come as the SEC's new generic listing standards accelerate the route to market for qualifying crypto investment products. Johanna will join our discussion on tokenized securities and vaults in the new era of the SEC, sharing her perspective on what it takes to bring that pace of product launches to market under a legal and compliance framework built for both traditional and on-chain infrastructure.
