Out now, the D3hoops. com women's basketball preseason Top 25! Nearly unanimous, as it turns out. d3hoops.com/notables/2026/10… #d3hoops

In a division where over 4,000 players (just MBB) will be in a varsity rotation, it's really hard to come up with a list of 25 preseason All-Americans. What a task that must be.
But @RyanAlanScott watches as much D3 basketball as anyone - live and on stream.
I know he keeps a running list of candidates; makes time to watch them; talks to coaches and others about them.
So, no, the D3hoops.com All-American teams - led by Ryan - are not a "complete random guess."

This lawsuit is absolutely crazy.
The schools that have chosen to be in NCAA Division III subscribe to a philosophy built around "prioritizing the overall educational experience of student-athletes"...where "academics are the primary focus of the student-athlete experience." (NCAA members that want a more athletics-based model can move to Division I or Division II.)
In alignment with that, these member schools have agreed "Division III financial aid is based on need and academic merit rather than athletics ability, reinforcing the division’s commitment to the overall educational experience"...thus no athletics-based scholarships.
It's not price fixing lol. Each school determines what the school costs. It can set tuition at $15,000 per year...or $100,000...or whatever.
Students that *choose to* attend a Division III school make a conscious decision to pay the cost...knowing there are no athletics-based scholarships (but that they can get financial aid based on need and merit...like every other student). Again, the students make the decision to attend...they are not forced to.
Absolutely silly lawsuit.

We at D3sports really enjoyed working with Joe Davis when he was a student at Beloit! If nothing else, I can say I broadcast a #d3fb playoff game with Joe Davis and a #d3hoops game featuring No. 1 vs. No. 2 in the country. And he was amazing at it.
"The hands-on reps are everything."
⚾️ Joe Davis will call Game 1 of the #WorldSeries tonight.
A position change at Division III @BeloitBucs helped launch his broadcasting career:
