Delightful look at a Day of the Dead celebration as a family prepares the altar for a fallen loved one. ❤️ how the altar is filled with items in a counting book pattern. Dual language on each page. ❤️@duncantonatiuh recognizable artistic style. @DISD_Libraries #bookaday

The library: a place where stories, science, and technology can all come together! Inspired by I Was: The Stories of Animal Skulls by Katherine Hocker, students at Gooch Elementary explored animal skulls in 3D using Merge Cubes, made predictions, and conducted research using PebbleGo! What an engaging way to spark curiosity, critical thinking, and discovery! @DISDLibDirector @NicoleWBixby @DrElenaSHill @TransformDISD @Dallasacademics @goochelementary @GoochLibrary
Last week we read "I Was: The Stories of Animal Skulls" by Katherine Hocker. Students examined 3D Skulls using Merge Cubes, attempted to determine what animals the skulls belonged to, and did further research using databases such as PebbleGo. @goochelementary @DISD_Libraries
