The AIOps agents at @SilexData make 400+ MCP tool calls per task. Running every call as Python in Pydantic Monty, filtering output before the model reads it, cut cost 26 to 32% and solved all 10 incidents. Direct tool calling solved 8.
CTO @dlewis on how pydantic.io/silex
Very excited to share some of the engineering we've done in our AIOps Platform offering to reduce customer token costs by over 30% for long-running SRE & IT operations tasks with @pydantic's open source Python sandbox, Monty. Thanks to the Pydantic team & @samuelcolvin for making such a great open source Python sandbox for agents. Results:

And it just doesn't stop:
There has been a security incident at Trigger.
We have emailed the owners of all impacted accounts.
We’ll be providing more information but for now the focus is on giving the impacted account owners what they need to mitigate.

My GitHub app workflow for keeping my agents away from my actual gh credentials and letting them do work as a role through a GItHub app:
Claude Code and Opus 5.5 are pretty good at generating the workflow, but the gist is the agent has access to a secret with the GH app private key and there's a signing script that uses the private key to generate the signed JWT from the private key, which is then used to get a GH installation access token that is then used to make the GH API calls. The script can be used as a gh wrapper or as a git credential helper. If you're concerned about your agents not having access to your real gh credentials, then mount the role's GH app private key in a container and expose the private key as a secret to it, which the wrapper script will then use for all GH operations.
Not as crazy of an idea as you'd think. When I worked at Bloomberg they had their own Layer 2 protocol (name escapes me) that was developed to do multicast on a network of OS/32 Perkin Elmers back in the early 80s (prior to TCP & IP), which were the first machines they had. I'm sure it is still in place today. Parts of it were also written in Fortran and used DLPI on Solaris/AIX/etc. to hook into the network stack when they ported it from OS/32 to UNIX.
This is the right take.
IaC is dead.
Sorry DevOps / SREs / Cloud Engineers but you're in for the same roller coaster as Devs. AI can manage infra change better than you.
Unfortunately for IaC, we don't need code because with the actual system source code and the infra, AIs have everything needed to determine change sets / approvals and dev env lensing.
btw, Effect Oriented Programming probably will help you get there; but that is inevitable for your codebase.
Somehow I'm in Anthropic's CVP, but my account isn't verified? Also, how do I get verified? I don't see a link anywhere with the Ultra announcement.
Claude Duet running in the cloud is really limiting from a browser perspective. So many sites block it.
The best captain in Star Trek and an incredible individual/actor. RIP.

Not sure why Claude Duet won’t retain the original format of an attachment. Tried attaching some Word docs to have it redline and it converts them to raw text, so now I have to jump over to Claude proper and do work.
