Looking forward to this conversation on how to orient #workforcedevelopment toward #equity.
.@danielenemark (@sdworkforce) will join us at #SHIFTWorkforce to discuss the economic drivers of inequality and share insights on how to design interventions that disrupt intergenerational inequality. convening.nationalfund.org/s…
I’m proud of the work @sdworkforce has done with @SupFletcher to quantify our county’s need for #behavioralhealth workers—and ready for the work ahead to implement our plan for training, recruiting, & retaining those workers!

Hi there @mhugolopez & @Lnoebustamante love your article on preferences for terms Hispanic/Latino/Latinx. Do you have data by region? My colleagues in SoCal tell me the community here prefers Latino over Hispanic. I'd love to see if your data reflects that.pewresearch.org/hispanic/202…
January's #unemployment numbers for #SanDiego County just released by @CA_EDD. The unadjusted rate increased from 4.1% to 4.7%, but that's typical for a January. Seasonally adjusted numbers show continued (though small) growth in employment:
Proud of the work @sdworkforce is doing to expand access to economic opportunity for communities that have too long been denied it.
Excited to share a new @sdworkforce investment by @jpmorgan in support of our health care workforce efforts. TY @SupFletcher for your support and commitment to building this critical sector. bit.ly/3Kq2sdM #healthcare @sdut @PhillipMolnar @sobercollege @SDbusiness #WkDev
I cried while reading this. We desperately need to end state execution. Our political system does not provide infallible or unbiased justice, and it is wrong to give such a flawed system the power to kill.

It blows my mind that we can measure a thing as distant and ephemeral as wind that blew over the Indian Ocean 4,000 years ago. But @s3nnacherib has used this data to explain trade and drought mitigation in the ancient world. Congrats on the paper, friend! link.springer.com/article/10…

At times, the joy that life attacks me with is unbearable and leads to gasping hysterical laughter. I find myself completely out of control and wonder how could life could surprise me again and again and again, so completely. How could a man be a cynic? It is a sin.
I would never have guessed that over half of LGBT folks identify as bi! Take that, bi-erasure!

Met with @SupLawsonRemer today and in the middle of this meeting she turns to me and proposes a regression-discontinuity design for studying public safety. Econometrics advice from an elected official? Day made.

Members of Congress should invest in low-cost index funds, just like everyone else. (But seriously, they absolutely should not be able to buy/sell individual stocks while in office.)
