Amends federal law to explicitly prohibit discrimination against LGBTQI+ people; Adds new protections against sex discrimination to federal civil rights laws; and, Expands protections for minority communities in public accommodations. The Equality Act explicitly prohibits discrimination against LGBTQI+ people in: employment, housing, credit, education, federally-funded programs, public accommodations, and jury service.
