We’ve signed an interline agreement with Nigerian carrier Ibom Air, enabling guests to connect through Lagos and Accra to Abuja, Uyo, Port Harcourt, Calabar, and Enugu on a single ticket from March 2027. More than 310,000 international visitors have chosen to extend their journey in Abu Dhabi through our Abu Dhabi Stopover programme since its launch in 2024 ✈️ Now, we’re extending the programme to the UAE’s Garden City, in continued partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi. We’re expanding our global ground handling and cargo partnership with Swissport. We’ve signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Arabian Travel Market to expand Swissport’s support for Etihad from 30 to 40 airports across Africa, Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia. The agreement covers ground handling and cargo services, with scope to extend into airport hospitality through Swissport’s Aspire brand, which operates 110 airport lounges worldwide.
