Bitcoin was born on Halloween 🎃
Oct 31, 2008: Satoshi posted the whitepaper. Since then crypto has collected some properly spooky (true) stories.
7 tales from the archive 🧵
Math over marketing!
Our industry is rapidly leveling up, proving that true security is not built on empty promises, it is built on bulletproof mathematics!
Sergey Nazarov just dropped a massive truth about the future of decentralized infrastructure. He brilliantly emphasized that @chainlink's unbreakable reliability doesn't come from a loud brand or clever marketing campaigns. As he stated perfectly: "Anyone who actually digs in and tries to understand, it’s because of the cryptographic proof that Chainlink provides".
This incredibly robust technological foundation delivers flawless cryptographic guarantees that completely de-risk complex cross-chain transactions.
Imagine a future where users from across the globe can seamlessly execute massive smart contracts with absolute confidence, knowing the network is mathematically immune to failure. This is a massive paradigm shift where trust is no longer just a promise, it is permanently guaranteed by unbreakable code!
The on-chain RWA market has reached $46.3B, up an incredible 947.6% over the past three years.
Ethereum leads with $20.8B in issued assets, followed by BNB Chain at $6.2B and Solana at $3.9B. Ethereum alone accounts for almost 45% of the total market shown.
The ecosystem now has 6.7M RWA holders, while RWA-related DeFi TVL stands at $3.7B and 24-hour RWA DEX volume has reached $748.4M.
More real-world assets are being represented on-chain, more users are holding them, and on-chain markets are developing around them. The progress is coming from many networks, and each is contributing to a market that could expand how financial assets are issued, accessed, and transferred.

The cost of AI compute is becoming a major financial market, and Injective is now making it possible to hedge that cost with options.
Hundreds of billions of dollars are flowing into AI infrastructure, with demand expected to accelerate as model training, inference and autonomous agents scale globally.
Yet despite this growth, financial markets for GPU compute remain largely undeveloped.
Injective recently introduced the Super Intelligence Compute Index ($SICI), the first onchain index tracking rental prices across five NVIDIA GPUs.
Now, with the launch of Injective Options, that same index can be used to hedge against changes in GPU pricing.
→ AI companies can purchase $SICI calls to help protect against rising compute costs.
→ GPU infrastructure providers can purchase puts to help offset declining rental prices.
This is only one example of what’s now possible.
Developers can leverage the recently unveiled new options infrastructure on $INJ to launch white label exchanges, create custom derivatives markets and build entirely new financial products without developing the underlying technology from scratch.
The initial launch also supports options across US equities, gold, silver and oil, with fully collateralized contracts backed by native Injective USDC.
As the AI economy grows, Injective is bringing the financial infrastructure needed to trade and manage its underlying costs onchain.

6/ And the one closest to us: Ethereum's PoS runs on Gasper = LMD-GHOST + Casper FFG. Every validator answers to a ghost 👻
7/ Happy Halloween from Everstake. May slashing never happen to you.

$230B is now staked across PoS networks!
Ethereum leads by a wide margin, with more than $100B securing its network, while Solana holds second place. The wider landscape includes BNB Chain, Cardano, NEAR, Aptos, Polygon, Celestia, and other ecosystems contributing to the growth of decentralized infrastructure.
Since June, a combination of rising crypto valuations and growing staking participation has pushed the dollar value of network security higher. Ethereum added 1.99M ETH in net staking inflows during Q3, marking its sixth consecutive quarter of growth, while Solana also reached record staking levels. The broader crypto market rebounded 39.6% in Q3, further lifting the dollar value of staked assets.
More capital committed to staking can strengthen the economic foundation of PoS networks, although dollar value alone does not capture every dimension of security or decentralization.
Who said bear markets kill on-chain activity?
@SuiNetwork weekly transactions are up 321.5% since the start of 2026.
From ~17M a week in early January to 70M+ now, with a peak of 75.88M in the week of September 21. And this is happening in a bear market.
So what does it actually mean when an L1 grows like this while the market is down?
In a bull market, activity is easy to come by. Hype, incentives and airdrop farming can fill any chart. In a bear market, most of that leaves. Attention drops, liquidity gets thinner, and short-term traffic goes quiet.
When a network keeps growing in that environment, it usually points to two simple things: apps on it are being used, and the team and builders keep shipping instead of waiting for better times.
And Sui has been shipping everyday. Just a few things that went live or hit milestones this year:
• A 99% cut to non-refundable storage fees.
• Native USDC on Sui connected to 29 chains via CCTP V2.
• USDC on Sui coming to Samsung Wallet on 82M Galaxy devices in the U.S.
• The first native quantum-safe transaction on Sui Devnet.
• Slush wallet: address book, plus funding from 25 chains, cards or Apple Pay.
Sui has also introduced gasless stablecoin transfers, removing the need for users to hold a separate SUI balance just to send supported stablecoins. It’s a small change in the user experience that can make a real difference.
None of this is flashy for its own sake. Each one removes a step that used to make crypto harder than it should be.
In our view, Sui is still underrated relative to what is being built there.
As a Sui validator and ecosystem partner, we see this work up close, and we have a lot of respect for the Sui team, the builders and the community behind it.
We've been supporting Sui, and we'll keep doing it!

Enterprise crypto is entering a new phase.
David Kinitsky, Chief Corporate Development Officer (CCDO) at Everstake, has seen the industry evolve since 2012–2013, and his perspective on enterprise adoption is worth paying attention to.
Back then, explaining Bitcoin to established financial institutions could feel like talking to a completely different world. In later cycles, companies became curious, but crypto often stayed within innovation teams, treated as an experiment rather than a business priority.
As David puts it, “They're actually looking at it seriously.”
It's the fundamental shift: digital assets are now being considered by the people responsible for the business itself, not just teams tasked with exploring new technology.
At Everstake, we believe this distinction matters. When the conversation moves from experimentation to business strategy, the questions change from “What can this technology do?” to “Where can it create real value?”
And that’s a huge step forward for the entire industry.

Crypto’s biggest narratives just changed.
@coingecko's Q3 2026 report shows how crypto attention continues to shift, even as the world faces significant geopolitical and economic uncertainty.
The Robinhood Ecosystem took the top spot with 13.2% of category mindshare, overtaking Meme Coins at 12.3%. Together, three Robinhood-related categories captured 22.3%, while AI remained a major narrative at 7.6%.
Privacy Coins also climbed from #18 to #14, with Zcash reaching an all-time high in September. Meanwhile, Real World Assets accounted for 4.2% of mindshare, reflecting continued interest in bringing traditional assets on-chain.
Our view is simple, uncertainty doesn’t mean stagnation. Narratives shift, new areas attract attention, and devs across the industry keep developing their products and infrastructure.
We respect every team and community contributing to that progress. The direction may change, but the work of building what comes next continues.
‼️@Cardano will beat Bitcoin.
Cardano has crossed $7.5 billion in market capitalization, reaching $7.52B, according to @chainspect_app.
And this milestone deserves attention, especially in a market where building, growing and keeping a community engaged is far from easy. Despite difficult conditions across the crypto industry, Cardano continues to move forward, backed by a dedicated community and a team that keeps developing the ecosystem.
Huge respect to everyone building, contributing and supporting the ecosystem. Without the developers pushing the technology forward and the community standing behind it, achievements like this would mean very little.
Cardano fam, this is a milestone worth celebrating. 💙
