When it comes to things to declare, the UK Government cares more about your lunch than dead animal parts.
We say that's not good enough.
It's time to end the import of hunting trophies, once and for all ➡️ brnw.ch/21x5527
Yesterday we joined @LeagueACS and @AnimallawFDN in Parliament to mark 20 years of the Animal Welfare Act.
Too often, there's a gap between the law and reality.
We need all dog breeders registered and licensed, with proper enforcement. It's time to put animals back in the Act.
Researchers investigating commercial animal tourism across South Africa, including FOUR PAWS UK Country Director, Dr Neil D'Cruze, found animals being kept in small enclosures with little to keep them occupied. 💔

HUGE NEWS! After 14 years in cramped concrete enclosures, Bear Yavor has safely arrived at his new species-appropriate home at our BEAR SANCTUARY Belitsa 🐻🥹
A huge congratulations to our wonderful team who worked tirelessly to make Yavor's new life possible 💞.
Torn from their calves. Beaten. Dragged by tractors. 🐄💔
This isn't just about one farm. It's about a factory farming system that treats sensitive, intelligent animals as production units, where profit too often comes before welfare.
Enough is enough❗
A FOUR PAWS UK report on supermarket fashion shows that ASDA is not doing enough to promote ethical and cruelty-free fashion 💔.
Speak up for animals and call on ASDA to raise its standards now ➡️ brnw.ch/21x6Pyy
Halloween has brought excitement, enrichment, and plenty of happy moments across our sanctuaries. 🧡🌳🎃
Sniffing out scent trails, investigating pumpkins, or discovering special surprises, our foxes, bears, and big cats were encouraged to express natural behaviours. 🐾👻
Despite 1,000+ objections, plans for an intensive chicken farm in Suffolk have been approved.💔
We're heartbroken. Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose, but every voice raised matters. With 1,821 factory farms now operating across the UK, we won't stop fighting.
Bear Na was rescued in October 2023 from a bear farm in Ho Chi Minh City. She had suffered in a tiny 1.5-metre square metal cage for many years.
Now, Na enjoys watching her caretakers prepare food, foraging, and tucking into her favourite treats, especially watermelon! 🍉
Your weekly shop could be linked to animal suffering 💔.
We're urging Tesco, ASDA, Morrisons and Sainsbury's to improve their textile animal welfare policies and help end cruelty in fashion.

Mink farming is coming to an end in Denmark! 🎉
Denmark was once the world's largest producer of mink fur. Every year, millions of mink endured a miserably short life in tiny cages before being cruelly killed for their fur. 💔
👇
A huge congratulations to our Fur Free Alliance coalition partner, Anima International, for 26 years of campaigning to end mink farming! ✊
This is a major milestone and a testament to the dedication and persistence of everyone who has fought for change.
Meanwhile in the UK, we are still waiting for a ban on the import and sale of fur, despite banning fur farming more than 20 years ago.
We will continue to campaign for a #FurFreeBritain and a #FurFreeFuture until every cage is empty! 🦊

Do you find it difficult to identify high animal welfare products in the supermarket❓
New research by Eating Better, in collaboration with FOUR PAWS UK and @RSPCA_official, found that more than 3 in 5 people struggle to identify products that have high animal welfare standards.
This isn’t good enough❗ Consumers want to make positive, informed choices and it should be easy for them to do so.
➡️ We want to see higher-welfare, sustainable options affordable, easily identifiable and appealing for everyone.

Plans to expand a controversial Norfolk factory farm, that would have housed more than 2.1 million chickens annually, have been scrapped after opposition from passionate local residents and campaigners.
Rescued back in 2017, Kahraba is now enjoying the calm life he deserves at Al Ma'wa for Nature and Wildlife in Jordan.
At 15 years old, this laid-back lion does things on his own terms. You'll likely find him enjoying his favourite treats or exploring his enrichment. ❤️
