Today Martin handed over his Mountain Trike that he used to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro. The winner of the #EverydayMountains competition was Emma Cawood from Leeds. You can see a special report on BBC Look North at 6:30pm tonight.
One of the most incredible parts of @ComradesRace is the cutoffs - half way in sub 6hrs 10mins or you are out! With a 12hr cutoff at the finish - it is going to be brutal for those who are flirting with the cutoffs from here to the finish in Durban (this was my experience too)
For the first time in @ComradesRace history the first two women go under 6hrs - fantastic racing in the elite field. I think I will just stay here and watching the next 6hrs as the back of the pack have to dig deep and get themselves to Durban!
Watching Dijana and Wiersma race the final kms and especially on the grass in Kingsmead was awesome!! The top 3 all went under the previous record! What a fantastic @ComradesRace - waiting now to see if @gerdarun can smash the women’s record
What an incredible ultra marathon @ComradesRace is!! Watching two men battle it out into Durban and @gerdarun smashing the race - possible records lie in wait for both the Men and Women race winners - so exciting and makes me want to go back and run it again!!

One year ago - 9th June 2022 the #MartinsMountain team reached the top of Kilimanjaro. The toughest day of my life! I was on the team because of Sir Frank Williams and @MartinHibbert . I carried @tonywalshpoet poem with me - paid my tributes and then descended.
