Today @indystar / @USATODAYCo laid off two union members in the IndyStar newsroom. We are devastated to lose two reporters with years of experience and connections in the Indianapolis community.

@bykatiewiseman first started at IndyStar as a news intern before joining the Midwest trending team full time. Katie also reported breaking news, real estate stories and event coverage as the news staff shrunk, showing her commitment to our team.

💵 New minimum salaries for guild employees in their 1st through 11th year working at IndyStar/USA Today papers
💲Across-the-board raises for every unit member as merit raises stagnate
🧑💻 Fill-in pay for employees asked to cover for managers

Today the 3rd Circuit Court ordered the @PittsburghPG to restore our contract it illegally tore up 5 years ago. That’s our health care, PTO, right to a 40-hr. week, short-term disability and so much more we’ve struck for for 3+ years.
