Once again a member of the party that suffered a devastating rejection on Tuesday has diagnosed the ailment: an industrious, hard-working reporter who breaks stories because other Members of Congress talk to him.
Problem solved. Good work, everybody!
The slimiest member of the DC press corps who conspires with low integrity attention seekers to leak strategies being discussed in House Republican meetings is Jake Sherman. To be clear- If you want my vote for leadership you will commit to no on or off record interviews with Jake Sherman for as long as he leaks our confidential team meetings. If being in โpunchbowlโ is more important than keeping the confidentiality of your colleagues not only are you unfit for Leadership, you shouldnโt call yourself a patriot.
Do not call me and ask for my vote unless you are willing to make that commitment.
Our Republican Conference was crushed on Tuesday and we enter one of the most perilous times in our nations history. I can only speak for myself, but I will not be tolerating games and BS. ๐บ๐ธ

An interesting closing argument:
"we went to war to raise your gas prices so that we could make the oil companies even richer"
Would make a good Landman episode. Imagine Billy Bob Thornton saying that line!

Alaskans donโt need any help voting for their preferred candidates, and the State of Alaska has already handled this by clearly distinguishing the candidates on this yearโs ballot. The Department of Justice should never have filed this lawsuit.

On my 20th or so @AmericanAir flight in the last few months. And like each of the others, itโs a catastrophe. Hour on tarmac. Return to gate. Another hour. Cancelled. Passengers literally in the dark. 1/4
If they had more backup crews and equipment, tickets would be a little more expensive but youโd save a lot of irreplaceable time: dinners with family, important meetings, time with kids. High value to you, zero to airlines. 3/4
Time is money, and you shouldnโt be forced to give it away. @AmericanAir which consistently runs later than @united and @Delta doesnโt even require crews to keep frustrated customers informed. Free, but they wonโt even give you that. Thatโs contempt. @RepRickLarsen 4/4

New: Top House Intelligence Democrat @jahimes says "Donald Trump is on Putin's side" and a blunt message for colleagues who are mulling more letters.
"Let's just stop talking about anything other than veto-proof legislation. Everything else is just bullshit."

More news: The top two Intelligence Dems @MarkWarner and @jahimes say they're prepared for Trump to pull out all the stops to sow doubt about the midterms.
They've run war games for Trump doing things like seizing voting machines or refusing to seat new members.

WTF, Steve? Look up the definition of โhumanitarian.โ What an embarrassing and outrageous thing to say. You should go back to Ukraine and ask the families of the children Putin has kidnapped and murdered whether they agree your friend Putin is a โhumanitarian.โ

Hegseth rolling out his ISAF 'joke' again๐ฌ
โก๏ธRemains grossly disrespectful to those who fought and died
โก๏ธBeing in the HQ 'with the flags' is not the flex he thinks
โก๏ธIf his shtick is about recovovering the US warrior ethos, why does he keep bragging about it in Afg?
โก๏ธThe 90s called and want their clothes back
Hegseth on Afghanistan:
I was a captain in Afghanistan, and we would go to the headquarters in Kabul, and there would be 50 flags at the headquarters.
It was a beautiful thing to see 50 different countries contributing to the NATO alliance and the ISAF mission there.
Except there were like maybe five that contributed. It was actually closer to one or two that, by the end, were actually involved in kinetic operations.
In fact, the ISAF patch, we would joke that it meant "I Saw Americans Fighting."
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Over 1100 non-American soldiers from 31 US-allied countries were killed fighting in Afghanistan, approximately 1/3 of the total combat deaths.
