Every business wants to target Gen Z, creating content for them and products that fit their lifestyle. Meanwhile, Gen Z is working remotely, freelancing, building a side hustle, healing their Lebanese trauma, and still can’t afford eggs.

تاريخياً، تبرعات موظفي وشركات التكنولوجيا الكبرى تميل للديمقراطيين. لكن في السنوات الأخيرة (خاصة بعد عودة ترامب) زاد تقارب بعض التنفيذيين (مثل ماسك، وبروكمان من OpenAI، وأندريسن هورويتز، وتبرعات شركاتية للبيت الأبيض) مع الجمهوريين للحصول على بيئة تنظيمية أخف. هذا تقارب نفعي.
الشركات عامة، وملكيتها موزعة. أما الضغط الديمقراطي فيأتي من ارتفاع فواتير الكهرباء والمياه، ومعارضة محلية لمراكز البيانات، ومخاوف من فقدان الوظائف، واستراتيجية انتخابية نجحت في استغلال هذه القضايا.
السوق يسعّر تباطؤاً محتملاً في بناء البنية التحتية، لا انهياراً في الطلب على الذكاء الاصطناعي نفسه.
في الأمد المنظور: تقلبات عالية حتى تتضح السياسات الفعلية. الشركات الأقوى مالياً قد تتكيّف، بينما الأكثر اعتماداً على الديون والتوسع السريع ستبقى تحت ضغط.

Analogue is having a moment, and I love it. People are buying vinyl, shooting on film and carrying paperbacks again. I’m all for digital, but it’s everywhere now, and I miss things you can actually hold. Even at a restaurant, I’d rather open a paper menu than scan a QR Code.

“Made in Lebanon” shouldn’t mean cheap. When something is made with quality materials and the finest finishing, its price should reflect that. Some of the world’s finest haute couture houses come from Lebanon, too.

It took me a month to hack the Twitter algorithm. Yes, I still call it Twitter. I’ve been tweeting since 2011, back when we used to go to tweetups. If you have to Google “tweetup,” you’ve just made me feel old.
Last month, I challenged myself to bring my account back to life. Posting regularly was the obvious part. What seemed to make a difference was sticking around after I tweeted, replying to other people’s posts and actually having conversations.
I’m still wondering if the subscription gave me a little push, but this week a few of my tweets went viral. I’d say the account’s alive again.
I’m curious how much this rebranding cost and whether we’ll end up paying for it through new taxes. A logo we never asked for, with a bill we’ll probably get.
No reliable electricity. No running water. No access to our own savings in the banks. Israeli drones hovering overhead. Our land still occupied.
But rejoice! #Lebanon government has unveiled its brand-new visual identity.
Perhaps it needed one.
After all, it seems to have lost its identity altogether.
