Lovely to join Andrea, John and Juilana on the Poppy stand at Earl’s Court Station this morning ahead of Remembrance Sunday this weekend. Thank you to everyone giving up their time to raise money for the Royal British Legion and supporting our Armed Forces community.

The Tory Brexit deal has done far more harm than good to our country, and leadership means calling that out as the Prime Minister has been doing. The Summit later this month is a really important moment to get the maximum possible cooperation under the current agreement, and to lay out the options for a far closer permanent relationship between Britain and the EU.

We've all seen them - a row of rental e-bikes blocking the pavement or dumped where they shouldn't be. I welcome the government’s consultation on regulating dockless e-bikes. We need London-wide licensing in place as soon as possible, replacing the current patchwork borough-by-borough approach.

Stratford is home to the largest Ukrainian Saturday school in the country. I was proud to support their calls for a Ukrainian language GCSE to be available, so that children have the opportunity to learn about their roots. I’m pleased that the Ukraine GCSE campaign has officially been a success! Big credit to @josephpowell and @LucyMPowell - these exams will be offered from 2029. A really meaningful moment for Ukrainians in the UK 🇬🇧🇺🇦 aqa.org.uk/news/aqa-to-devel…
Newham is home to the largest Ukrainian population in London. And Stratford and Bow is home to the largest Ukrainian Saturday school in the country, @StMarysTrust. It was great to visit them, and see a community who is rebuilding and thriving. You’ll always have my full support 🇬🇧🇺🇦

Proud to announce that students in England will be able to study Ukrainian at GCSE. It’s a chance for pupils to explore Ukraine’s rich culture and history and, for the Ukrainian community to remain connected to their heritage. This is another step in our enduring support for Ukraine as part of the 100 Year Partnership 🇺🇦🇬🇧

Our community needs a new St Mary's Hospital. St Mary’s has a proud nearly 200-year history - from the discovery of penicillin to becoming one of the country’s first major trauma centres - but the estate is now old and crumbling, with the largest maintenance backlog in the whole of the NHS. The Conservatives put St Mary’s at the back of queue - delaying construction funding for over a decade. New financing models are now being developed by the NHS Trust to get work started sooner, so I was pleased the government confirmed it is interested in exploring those options further, so we can get building as soon as possible.

Wonderful news that the Government has confirmed the launch of a new Ukrainian GCSE. For more than two years, I've been proud to work alongside Ukrainian campaigners, families and educators such as the Ukrainian St Mary's Trust - headquartered in Kensington & Bayswater - to make the case for its reintroduction. Language is more than a qualification. It's a vital part of identity, culture and belonging - and of course it will be of interest to many British people hoping to work in and with Ukraine. That is why it was never acceptable that some Ukrainian children in Britain were being offered exams in Russian rather than the opportunity to study and gain qualifications in their native language. Today is an important step in recognising the language, identity and culture of Ukraine, and a further example of Britain’s unwavering support in the face of Putin’s aggression. Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦

Funding announcement for legal advice services in North Kensington 👇🏻 Founded in 1970, North Kensington Law Centre was the UK's very first law centre. For more than 50 years, its dedicated team has provided free legal advice to residents who might otherwise struggle to access legal support or representation. Thanks to a new £375,000 multi-year grant from this Labour government, they can continue delivering vital support for years to come. It was fantastic to welcome my friend @SarahSackman to North Kensington to see firsthand how the new £16 million Legal Support Grant programme will strengthen access to advice on housing, debt, welfare benefits and family law. This will make a real difference to Kensington & Bayswater residents in need of high quality advice.

The last @UKLabour government introduced Child Trust Funds - a financial asset for every child in this country, accessible from age 18. Nearly 3 million young people have already accessed their Funds, currently worth an average of £2,600 each. For young people lacking the mental capacity to manage their money though, families have been required to go via the Court of Protection, in a process which many - including @sarahsmithlab - have rightly said is too complex, long & difficult to navigate. Today, @JakeBenRichards & I are announcing that we’re changing that. I will introduce a power into the Financial Services Bill that means the rules governing access to Child Trust Funds can be amended. The result will be a fairer system for young people & their families, & more people being put in touch with a financial asset at an important point in their lives. A big thank you to everyone that has campaigned to bring about this change & worked with us.

A real honour to attend the moving Princess Louise’s Kensington Regimental Association organised service for the burial of the King’s Colour of the 2nd Battalion. The regiment fought with great distinction, including in the First World War at Aubers Ridge supporting the Vimy Ridge offensive, and the Second World War. The Regiment then became part of the Royal Corps of Signals, and has since been amalgamated. I thanked those still serving and paid tribute to all those who have played their part in this proud history. As Remembrance Day approaches, we remember all those who have served.

It’s great news for North Kensington that a youth hub focused on supporting young people with employment opportunities will soon be opening in the community. I asked the Work and Pensions Minister to ensure these new Hubs are open to all 16-24 year olds who need support, and I’m glad he has confirmed that they will be. I’ll be sharing more information on our new Youth Hub in the coming months.

I love our supplementary schools! It was great to speak at the Awards Ceremony for our supplementary schools this week, and thank everyone for their hard work. It's a huge testament to our community's commitment to creating opportunities for our young people that so many people put their time and energy into these school. I look forward to visiting many more.

When you appear on GB News to talk about the budget and everyone agrees with our Labour policy to lift 70,000 more high street businesses out of paying business rates, funded by Adult Gaming Centres (24/7 slot machines) and vape stores...

This year we marked 40 years since the Chernobyl disaster. During my recent visit to Ukraine, I saw first-hand the importance of protecting and repairing Chernobyl after it was recklessly hit by a Russian drone. I recently asked the Defence Secretary for an update on international efforts to secure and repair this globally significant site, and I welcome the Government's commitment of £17 million for repairs that will help make it safe and secure. Chernobyl remains a symbol of why nuclear safety can never be taken for granted.

Big news today: for the first time, construction product companies - including those that contributed to the Grenfell fire - will be forced to pay to resolve the building safety crisis. It’s shameful that companies like Arconic, Kingspan and Celotex have avoided picking up the bill to fix unsafe cladding That will change as part of the new Building Safety Bill we voted on today. I will do all I can to make sure none of these companies have access to public contracts, especially while the criminal justice process is ongoing.

The world cannot ignore what is happening in Sudan. One year on from the mass atrocities in El Fasher, the UK is sanctioning those linked to these and other atrocities, and strengthening support for survivors and communities at risk of famine.
