Love this from @jmj. Some of the most low-hanging fruit is at the intersection of multiple fields, because people tend to go deep rather than broad. Both are important! I also like his analogy of "rock band" teams as the way to attack problems like ours at @warpsciences. newinternet.tech/p/investingโ€ฆ

Slowly, then all at once. A full Lean formalization of the classification of finite simple groups! The original proof was 15,000 pages of painstaking work across 500 papers by 100 mathematicians. Now settled beyond a doubt. axiommath.ai/research/the-enโ€ฆ

"Primarily for email" is funny and somewhat true, but it won't be true for much longer
Itโ€™s kinda crazy to me that we melt sand down, clean it to 99.99999% purity, literal wizards have to draw it slowly into an ingot, we cut it, inscribe a hundred billion little on/off switches on it, and when you run electric current through it you can do basic arithmetic, which when you do enough of it can do any math on the planet, and which describes reality well enough that we can teach it the ontological meaning of words and their distance from each other on a high-dimensional space, and if you ask, it can tell you what word comes next and that apparently is powerful enough that if you do it a hundred billion times itโ€™s the smartest thing to ever exist oh yeah and we use this primarily for email

๐Ÿ’ฅ Introducing Warp Sciences, a new company applying AI and robotics to help the world develop new medicines faster. Weโ€™ve raised a $215M Series A led by @lightspeedvp to bring frontier AI out of the browser and into the lab, and build scientific capacity here in America. I co-founded Warp with my long-time friend @dpatil, FAIR co-founder @manohar_paluri, and drug hunter Sol Reisberg. The early team is full of incredible people like @bkspears9, who helped achieve Q>1 fusion at LLNL.

We have a lot to build and a lot to prove. If you want to create frontier scientific AI models, put robots to work in the lab, do exceptional chemistry, and help the world discover new medicines faster, weโ€™d love to work with you. Come build Warp with us: warp.xyz/careers

I agree with @DaveARicks: large scale data collection via robotic labs will be a big part of the future of science.

Super excited for @bobmcgrewai and Arda. What an incredible mission ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ
We started Arda in 2025 to speed up American manufacturing. We have spent the last year building with Anduril as our design partner. Today we are launching the company publicly on CNBC and announcing our Series A: $160M at a $1.5B valuation. Our platform helps manufacturers design and operate manual assembly lines, putting designs into production faster now. Next we'll build automated lines that can be reconfigured as quickly as human workers, letting America make products that now require armies of workers in Asia.
