London Fire Brigade Football Club

FROM THE FIELD TO THE FIRE CRYSTAL PALACE U16s EXPERIENCE LIFE IN THE FIRE SERVICE! We were delighted to welcome @CPFC @CPFCAcademy U16s to New Malden Fire Station for a unique experience designed to challenge, educate and inspire the next generation. The day began with our From the Field to the Fire presentation, exploring the powerful connection between elite football and the fire service. Through discussions around teamwork, communication, discipline, resilience and personal responsibility, the players were challenged to think beyond the pitch and consider how these values shape success in football, their personal lives and their future careers. But the learning didn’t stop in the classroom… The players stepped into the boots of a firefighter, putting on full personal protective equipment (PPE) and taking on a series of practical challenges. From ladder drills and hose running to getting water to work and experiencing breathing apparatus exercises, they gained a first-hand insight into the physical demands, trust, communication and teamwork required to operate effectively in the fire service. The station was filled with energy, enthusiasm and plenty of determination, as the players pushed themselves outside their comfort zones, embraced new challenges and discovered what it takes to work together under pressure. This was about much more than football. It was about building confidence, developing leadership, challenging perceptions and helping young people recognise that the qualities they demonstrate on the pitch can open doors to opportunities far beyond the game. A huge thank you to Dominic nerves , Alex Wynter and the @CPFCAcademy staff for their support and for providing the players with this opportunity. We are proud to continue building relationships with professional football academies, creating meaningful experiences that broaden young people’s horizons and support their development both on and off the pitch. Through initiatives like this, we continue to demonstrate the positive impact that can be achieved when sport, education and community engagement come together. By connecting young people with new experiences, positive role models and opportunities to learn, we can help inspire ambition, strengthen life skills and build confidence for the future. This is what our Community Through Football Programme is all about using the power of football to educate, engage and inspire young people, strengthen community relationships and contribute towards safer, healthier and more resilient communities across London. Because development doesn’t stop at the final whistle. And the lessons learned on the pitch can last a lifetime. Community Through Football Inspiring the next generation. @LondonFire @trailgroupltd #LondonFireBrigade #CommunityThroughFootball #CrystalPalace #YouthDevelopment #Leadership #Teamwork #Resilience #FootballDevelopment #PositiveRoleModels #CommunityEngagement #TrailGroup

Three first-half goals put London in control, before a penalty gave Essex Ambulance a lifeline to make it 3-1 at the break. London responded strongly in the second half, controlling possession and adding further goals to extend their lead. Substitutions made a positive impact, creating more opportunities, although the score could have been higher with greater composure in front of goal. Credit to Essex Ambulance for their effort and persistence, but London’s quality and control shone through after the break. @firefighters999 @WalkandTalk999 @Awards_FC_ @SKkits2 @kordsport @SportsafeUK @bogie_david @NonLeagueCrowd @trailgroupltd @Alphatracksyst @PlumisAutomist @serveandprotect

Full time @ESFL20 @serveandprotect @ECFRS 3 - 2 @LFBfootballclub Goals: N Mottley, S king Man of the match: S King A disappointing day on the road for London, who suffered their second consecutive defeat this time against @ECFRSFootball . London started the brighter of the two sides, creating opportunities but lacking the quality in the final third to make their pressure count. After Essex enjoyed a spell of possession, London found a breakthrough with a well-taken finish to take a 1–0 lead. However, London took their foot off the gas, allowing an energetic and determined Essex side to take control. Two quick counter-attacks caught London off guard, with Essex turning the game around to head into half-time 2–1 ahead. LFB came out on the front foot after the break, looking to get back into the game, but once again struggled to find the quality needed in the final third to break down a disciplined and well-organised Essex defence. Essex continued to exploit the space available and extended their lead to 3–1. London rolled up their sleeves and pushed hard in search of a way back into the contest. Despite applying pressure, the final ball and clinical finishing were missing for much of the afternoon. With just five minutes remaining, London managed to pull one back to make it 3–2, setting up a tense finish. However, there simply wasn’t enough time to find an equaliser. Another frustrating result for London, who will know there is plenty to improve on, particularly in both boxes. Credit to Essex, who showed greater desire, discipline and effectiveness on the counter-attack to secure the three points. @firefighters999 @WalkandTalk999 @Awards_FC_ @SKkits2 @kordsport @SportsafeUK @bogie_david @NonLeagueCrowd @trailgroupltd @Alphatracksyst @PlumisAutomist @serveandprotect

Full time @kentfirerescue 4 - 0 @lfbfootballclub Man of the match: Joe Healy Mare of the match: Jason Hayes A bad day at the office for London, who travelled to face Kent Fire and Rescue in their second fixture of the @RadiocomsInfo @serveandprotect @EnglishFireSFS Cup. London started positively, looking to break down a resilient Kent side. However, a loss of possession high up the pitch allowed Kent to exploit the space on the counter-attack and take the lead. Shortly afterwards, a similar situation saw London caught in transition again. A poorly timed challenge resulted in a penalty, which Kent converted to make it 2–0. London struggled to find their rhythm in the final third, with Kent remaining organised and disciplined defensively, limiting opportunities and forcing London to resort to longer balls in search of a breakthrough. Just before half-time, Kent capitalised once more on a turnover in possession, launching another quick counter-attack. Their forward, who caused problems throughout the game, found himself in a two-on-one situation and finished well to give Kent a 3–0 lead at the break. London came out on the front foot in the second half, determined to get back into the game, but once again lacked the cutting edge needed in the final third. Kent remained resolute and punished another London attack that broke down, extending their lead to 4–0. Despite continuing to push and search for a way back into the game, London couldn’t find a breakthrough against a well-organised and resilient Kent side, who thoroughly deserved their victory on the day. A disappointing afternoon for London, who know they have more to offer. We’ll dust ourselves off, learn from the performance and go again in a few weeks’ time when we face Devon Fire and Rescue in our final group fixture. We go again. @ProstateUK @firefighters999 @WalkandTalk999 @Awards_FC_ @SKkits2 @kordsport @SportsafeUK @bogie_david @NonLeagueCrowd @trailgroupltd @shellenfiredoor @plus_compliance

London started brightly, controlling the tempo from the outset and moving the ball around the pitch with confidence and purpose. Their positive approach was rewarded with an early opening goal, which was quickly followed by a second as they established control of the contest. The midfield and defensive units worked exceptionally well throughout, dictating play, maintaining possession and limiting London Prisons to very few opportunities in the final third. Going forward, London were clinical and purposeful, with excellent link-up play and teamwork creating a number of well-worked goals. Every goal reflected the collective effort and understanding shown across the team. Credit must go to London Prisons, who continued to compete and play with commitment despite the scoreline. They emerged for the second half with a positive attitude and continued to work hard, but London Fire Brigade remained in control, maintaining their intensity and quality to dictate proceedings. Further goals followed as London continued to showcase their attacking quality and disciplined approach. While London Prisons never stopped trying and deserve credit for their determination, London Fire Brigade’s quality ultimately proved too strong on the day. We thank London Prisons for the fixture and wish them every success for the remainder of the season. @firefighters999 @WalkandTalk999 @Awards_FC_ @SKkits2 @kordsport @SportsafeUK @bogie_david @NonLeagueCrowd @trailgroupltd @Alphatracksyst @PlumisAutomist @serveandprotect
