Fantastic photo of one of our pipers taking part in #VJDay75. Other pipers for the band played #bagpipes around #Leeds 🎶
For the 75th anniversary of VJ Day Piper Robert Proctor from the City of Leeds Pipe Band and Piper Corporal Robert Cunningham, Royal Marines played Battle’s O’er from the summit of Scarfell Pike at 6am today. Robert Proctor told @nickahad about this moving experience.

On Thursday our pipers will be joining in on this initiative from @ThePipingCentre 💪
Join the #pipeupforkeyworkers this Thursday at 8pm BST - playing Scotland the Brave where you can safely play at a distance! Share our badge to say you are in! #NHStheBrave
This is something for anyone with #bagpipes to get involved in #ThePipesAreCalling
Please note that we are still encouraging the solo piping element to continue from a safe and suitable location at 3pm on Friday 8 May, such as their homes. #VEDay75 veday75.org

Don't worry, the piping element is still going ahead so the day will be marked 💂♂️🎶💂♂️
Absolutely gutted over this but definitely the right decision. We WILL celebrate & remember another time. Stay safe everyone.
VE Day weekend celebrations cancelled 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

We were looking forward to our first event of 2020 but it is a good call to cancel. Stay healthy #FlattenTheCurve
We don't think of celebrating the accomplishments of our members on just one day a year but International Women's Day is a great way to showcase piping is not gender specific and we are proud of our diverse membership. We even have some English in the band too! #IWD2020
Our veterans are looking forward to parading for @LeedsAFD
Wouldn't miss it for anything! We'll be there rain or shine! 🌧️🌞🎶💂
The Pudsey Carnival parade paperwork has been submitted,
are you taking part in this years event?

We always love the sight and sound of #bagpipes in #Yorkshire and these are two great bands supporting a fantastic graduation ceremony! Check out the video facebook.com/189519221509529…
The Pipes and Drums of @GordonsSch and @4_scots_CO were fantastic in supporting our graduation. With almost no time to rehearse together their joint performance was flawless. Lovely to see Pte Derby XXXII of @MercianRegiment too - very steady on parade and a crowd pleaser!
We honour them by piping them out! 💂🥁💂#notjusthaggis
It’s like Christmas Day but *better*... that’s right folks, it’s #yorkshirepuddingday 🤤🤤🤤
Celebrate the day with a batch of the best food going and don’t forget to send us a 📸 of yours!
First practice on the #bagpipes in 2020 with a great turnout! Looking forward to a busy year leedspipeband.org.uk/content…
Do you still keep up the #Bagpipes @XanderArmstrong? Its still about the showbiz 🎶🥁💂♂️
