🗣️ “You don’t win games of football by having ‘nearly’ chances”
Following Tuesday’s 2-1 defeat to Dartford, we spoke with manager @pittsthecoach. 👇

A fantastic push to the final whistle, but we fall just short of taking anything from our pre-Bonfire extravaganza.

90+4' | DELAYS
Dartford are making their final sub, and Louis Rogers is in the visitors’ half.
A grandstand finish.
🔴 1-2 ⚪️
90+3' | LAST PUSH
We’re into desperation time now.
A pinball in the Dartford box sees the ‘keeper down and Tyrese Owen trying to backheel towards goal. It’s blocked.
🔴 1-2 ⚪️
90' | INTO ADDED
We’re pushing as hard as we can, but time is elapsing fast!
Four minutes are added.
🔴 1-2 ⚪️
A great move to get it, too.
Ryan Gondoh leads us down the right and works the ball into space in the middle, where a Garzon scorcher sails underneath Sandford!

80' | DEFLECTED
Ryan Gondoh's shot, on the run to the left of the box, is deflected off George Whitefield.
It tests goalkeeper Sandford, but the sting is taken out of the effort.
🔴 0-2 ⚪️
74' | SAVED
Brian Garzon shifts the ball between his feet and draws a save from Ryan Sandford.
At the other end, Max Fiddes is foiled when clean through, with Olly Hamstead tidying up.
🔴 0-2 ⚪️
72' | SUBSTITUTION
Our fourth switch sees us shake things up in attack, shortly after Jack Enkh lashed a shot into the side netting.
➡️ Bobby Unwin
⬅️ Charlie Walker
🔴 0-2 ⚪️
70' | SUBSTITUTION
A third change follows, as the carded Bassett is withdrawn.
➡️ Noel Fisher
⬅️ Danny Bassett
🔴 0-2 ⚪️
69' | BOOKING
Danny Bassett collects the first booking of the match for a push on the fleet-footed Max Fiddes.
🔴 0-2 ⚪️
65' | IMPACT
There's been a definite tactical shift with the substitution.
Tyrese Owen has dropped into a back three, allowing Jack Enkh and Tyler Cox to get involved in the attack.
Ryan Gondoh's shot on goal is cleared away.
🔴 0-2 ⚪️
56' | OVER
Despite his recent brilliance, Walker can't find the target with this set piece.
It's sent just over the crossbar and into the Philcox.
🔴 0-2 ⚪️
55' | FREE KICK
Charlie Walker is taken down 20 yards from goal, giving us a first sight of goal in the half.
