Wigan and Leigh Hospice does incredible work supporting local people and their families at some of the hardest moments of their lives. It was lovely to visit this weekend and spend time with patients and staff there. I’m proud to be donating 15% of my MP salary this month to support their work.

I've decided to leave this platform and my Department will too. A platform originally designed for free speech and expression now favours abuse and misinformation over meaningful debate. It isn't healthy for our democracy or our communities and I don’t want to support it.

Fantastic to catch up with one of our greatest Olympians, Dame Kelly Holmes We talked about the work this Government is doing to drive a decade of change in women’s sport and improve access to grassroots facilities for women and girls.

Great to speak to Jenny and the @BBCNewsround team. Young people have questions about plans to ban social media for under-16s. That’s why we’re not just talking about restrictions, we’re investing £132m so every young person has somewhere to go and something to do.

📈 3,008 more teachers in secondaries & special schools 📈1,646 more teachers in colleges 📈Trainee teachers up 13% 📈 Teacher pay up 9.5% 📈 Record investment in schools If standing up for state schools makes me a spiteful class warrior, I’ll wear it with pride. #PMQs

I’ll fight to make sure everyone shares in the success Greater Manchester is building - making sure there’s more money in people's pockets, pride in every town centre with a New High Streets Fund, a new generation of council and affordable homes and an expanded Bee Network that freezes fares and that works for all of us. 🐝 🌹
Congratulations to Bev Craig, Labour’s candidate for Greater Manchester Mayor!

Could an Olympics hosted by the North of England really happen? On The Northern Agenda podcast, Culture Secretary @lisanandy insists her govt is "deadly serious" about the idea and willing to live with the costs of hosting such a high-profile event. youtube.com/watch?v=xwdp265T…

Keir Starmer took the Labour Party from our worst election defeat in nearly a century into government, where we have started to rebuild our public services, invest in our communities and open up opportunities for a generation again.

He often says these jobs are an immense privilege but in these stormy times public service takes a huge personal toll. I am grateful to him and his family for the sacrifices they have made. They deserve all of our thanks.
