The lengthy sentences on the 'Just Stop Oil' protestors are grotesquely disproportionate. As for the judge forbidding them to explain why they were protesting, it looks. like fascism. I deplore it.

This is an excellent bit of comms by Labour. Jon Richardson, in a bath with a beer, telling you how Sunak made his millions from the downfall of our economy.
Really important message, brilliantly delivered.

Might as well as have a classic Twitter logo row about this one. Yes, technically they're keeping the dead lion on the classic tin, so they'll retain the world record for oldest unchanged brand packaging. But they're dropping / modernising the lion for the plastic tubes & bottles. And it's bullshit. bbc.co.uk/news/business-6834…

We need a majority of people to know 5 things, which they largely do not:
1. Pollution from oil, coal and gas is heating the earth and causing dangerous weather.
2. All the climate scientists agree.
3. We must move quickly if we are to save a livable climate.
4. There are exciting solutions available right now, most of which save money.
5. Big polluting companies knew, lied, and stopped action. They need to pay to clean up their mess.

So let’s get this right. Johnson lies to Parliament. He’s exposed as a liar. But he gets to appoint a resignation list including Covid rule breakers & dodgy sycophants hours before resigning. And they keep the gongs? What a corrupt British state we live in. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-6…

"The only demonstrations that really work are disruptive ones."
@GaryLineker believes disruptive climate protesters could be considered "heroes" if the world takes action against the climate crisis, and says "it's very worrying" people are being arrested for protesting.

Wow!
The judge's summation after 7x Just Stop Oil supporters were found guilty of aggravated trespass is simply extraordinary:
"You should feel guilty for nothing. You should feel proud that you care, have concern for the future."
