It auto-extracts itself at level 5, meaning you can use it to mark chests for the first half of the game without wasting time calling an extract, wasting a portable, or repurchasing it with dust

This is such bs if it’s true. People who work this week will have only had Sunday/launch day to fully commit time looking for the skin before it leaves. (Which was filled with queue times and matchmaking errors).

HOW TO GET IT:
• Opening chests in Battle Royale can roll a Treasure Hunt prize
• The "Pirate Shop" is in the prize pool every week
• The odds are unknown as of now, and i don't know if there's a limit.. we'll have to wait for Epic to announce this (things could change)
HOW IT WORKS:
• Winning it gives you 2 activations, one for 2026 & one for 2027
• Once activated, everything sold for V-Bucks in the Item Shop is FREE to claim for 14 days
• The 14 days only start when you press activate
• It's not transferable
WHEN TO ACTIVATE IT:
• 2026 → NOV 1 - DEC 15
• 2027 → JAN 1 - DEC 15
WHAT'S NOT FREE:
• Real money offers
• Gifting
• Battle Pass / pass levels & rewards
• Sidekicks: only 1 free one, and it has to be one you don't own yet
I feel like a lot more people would still enjoy sprite collecting if there wasn’t so many variants.
Casually searching for them throughout the season would be a lot better than frantically trying to keep up and master them all every single week.
Originally Fortnite: Override was set to feature even more Sprites, such as:

- Mega Man Sprite Variant Support
Assuming all of these Sprites released with Variant Support, Fortnite: Override would've had almost 300 Sprites to grind out for instead of the 162 we ended up with.
