We exist in time. Past, present, and future.
To deprive you of your future efforts is MURDER.
To deprive you of your present efforts is SLAVERY.
To deprive you of your past efforts is THEFT.
Same crime.
We treat one less seriously because the amount of lost effort is known.
You seem to be overriding FSD, are you sure?
My friend was in his Tesla, riding on FSD as usual. The car started to approach traffic and next thing he knew, it started veering off towards the shoulder.
So he took over to keep the car on the road. He immediately got rear ended. Tesla saw that someone behind him was not paying attention to slow down enough and was going to hit him, and was moving out of the way.
Tesla tried to avoid the accident, but the human intervened.

Tesla is celebrating Halloween this year by having a Cybercab autonomously drive around Austin with skeletons inside haha 🎃
They've come a long way: web.archive.org/web/20030603…
My college dorm project just broke the world speed record.
Reaper hit 790 km/h (491 mph) carrying a 1.2 kg (2.6 lb) payload.
These 3 Reapers are now the world’s fastest small jet-powered drones.
Each of them can hold that speed for 4 minutes on a full tank.
Reaper can be rail- or truck-launched, climb to 2,000 m (6,600 ft) in under 20 seconds, then fly for 50 km (31 mi) at full speed.
This is now a reliable and repeatable system. Future testing and small optimizations should push the top speed past 800 km/h (500 mph).

They did unspeakable things to children in the name of Satan.
Tf you mean “who am I voting for?”
You shouldn't need an old fashioned telephone emulation subscription to validate identity a quarter of a century into the Internet age. @Yubico
Fighting abuse & spam on a consumer app is a perpetual cat-and-mouse game:
Every solution you create is a bandaid for 3-12 months -- until the adversaries find a workaround. When money is involved, people are tenacious to circumvent your patch and keep the money flowing.
While large language models have made attacks more intractable, there are tools you can build to protect your product:
(1) An in-house Risk Scoring stack that assigns a 0-100 score of likelihood someone is a spammer or bot. This should be informed by machine learning, IP & email reputation data, device telemetry, among many other signals.
(2) A near-bulletproof method to "checkpoint" your highest risk users, such as liveness verification or phone number auth. This will have to be reinvented every year (e.g., CAPTCHA tests are obsolete now with today's models).
As new attacks emerge, you can move the risk threshold lower to checkpoint more people. However, you want to be cautious so you don't add unnecessary friction for too many people and impact usage.
I'd love to hear him explain how he delegates the power (he doesn't have) to tax extort people to "authorities".
It's right there in the #JustPowers clause of the Declaration of Independence - start of the 2nd paragraph.
One thing to read something, another to understand. 🤷♂️
Patrick Stewart, who will be remembered most for his roles as Captain Jean-Luc Picard on “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and as Professor Charles Xavier in the “X-Men” films, has died at 86.

Why are comments turned off?
James Edward O’Keefe, 42, and Cam Higby, 26, both face felony charges of unlawful voting and identity theft.

The magatards dragged me for this comment for weeks, but sadly: it’s true.
I love this country—and the best thing an executive at a social network can do is communicate when attempts are made to manipulate public discourse.

Interesting what happens when you ask Grok about all of the Ohio gubernatorial candidates and not just the establishment candidates.
