🗓️ NEW WORK FOR @Calendly 🗓️ Back when we first started S&D one of the most needless hassles that drove me crazy was the email tennis of scheduling a meeting. A few years ago, we started using Calendly, and it was infinitely better. So when they asked us to work on their brand it felt like karma. It's so rare that you get to work on an identity for something that actually changed your business. So we knew we had to do it right. Read the full case study here ↓ smith-diction.medium.com/bra… Special thanks to my whole team at @Smith_Diction who constantly inspire me every day and to @gavinpotenza, @liz__meyer, @studiojud, @j3rks_inc, and @JustinLawes for hopping in with us on this one. Literally couldnt have done it without you.

I’ve been working on our next case study and as a challenge to myself I was like what if….it wasn’t digital at all? So I’ve been painstakingly designing a book. @soren_iverson called me a freak for the craft. And I think that’s appropriate. There is so much in this little 8.5x5.5 book. Hand embossed stickers from 80+ years ago. Vellum sheets of city blueprints from William Penn. Scans of type from 1891. Posters. Enamel pins. Etc. I’ll never financially recover but at least I’m going down swinging.

I will be selling them. You most likely won't like the price lol. I'm not going to sell them for cost cuz it's brutal. I love losing money on print materials.

All throughout college I'd go to Blick to get supplies for my printmaking class and I'd always carve out a few minutes to flip through the @CreativeReview magazines by the register hoping one day I'd have some of my work in there. And while it's not in print this still counts for me. So kind of them to feature our work for the PHS flower show. creativereview.co.uk/smith-d…

Dear @figma please do this. It's so clunky tapping into that little menu just to go between the cases. Please and thanks!

Philly is so wild, a dude just ran a stop sign then blew a kiss and winked at me. Wow I’m shook.

Hey AI companies let me do more stuff like this. Thanks.
🌸 NEW WORK FOR THE PHS PHILADELPHIA FLOWER SHOW 🌸 Earlier this year Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) approached us to help come up with the identity and key visuals for their 2027 flower show. It was called ICONIC so we knew we wanted the flowers to feel monumental. We tapped local photographer Bre Furlong (breannefurlong.com) to shoot 18 beautifully unique florals in stunning detail. These beauties are gonna look incredible on banners and billboards all over Philadelphia this winter.

Someone recently asked us if our studio had a particular style and I didn’t really have a good answer but I’ve been thinking about it for a few weeks now and I think I finally have a semi-answer: It’s less of a style and more of a feeling. I want our work to feel like you found a dollar on the ground. You see it and your heart jumps a bit. You kinda doubt that it’s real but then you bend over and touch it. It’s a moment just for you. A little treat. It’s a small item that doesn’t really buy you much but it still makes you feel good. Some people may even pass it by because this thing is not for them. But for those who bend down to take a second look, we make the work for you.
