I’m almost certain Jake Tapper just did a bit on Donald Trump’s ‘no tax on tits’ policy.

He's probably joking, of course, but I've obviously looked into the plausibility of this in much too much detail, so here we go. A number of things would stand in Trump's way if he really did decide to run for PM of Israel. For a start you have to be chosen by the President from the Knesset. And to be elected to the Knesset, you have to be an Israeli citizen and resident. Not being Jewish, the Law of Return is not open to Trump, so he'd have to go through the ordinary naturalisation process, which requires several years of residency in Israel, some knowledge of Hebrew and usually renouncing his citizenship of the US. He'd then have to join or found a party, get on a candidate list, win a seat through proportional representation and build a coalition that could stand a chance of forming a stable government. There is one other problem. To be eligible for election to the Knesset...you have to have a clean criminal record for the last seven years. Trump was convicted on multiple felony counts in New York in 2024.

If I had one nagging doubt going into tomorrow, it's that everyone looked at those polls saying voters were concerned about corruption and assumed they all meant Trump. I spoke to a lot of MAGA folk this week, and all of them were angry about corruption. But they meant Somalis, Democrats and Fauci.

We got your back, New York!

Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026). arkolith.com/news/news-micr… therepublic.com/?p=843020 governor.ny.gov/news/safer-str…

A lot of people were surprised by the "Jon Husted's ass" thing. But what you don't get about Trump rallies unless you've been to one is how incredibly camp they are. Seriously, like row of frilly tents.

Seriously, not only was this fabulously bejazzled clone captain hat on sale outside the rally in Lubbock, Texas, I swear someone inside was wearing one.

Before leaving, Trump proudly holds up a poster board of one of the "before" pictures of the reflecting pool, featuring a man looking forlornly at a patch of algae. Unclear if he thought it was an after picture.

Trump closes out his weird reflecting pool speech by doing his bit about how for four years the US was laughed at, but they're not laughing now.

I'm only now starting to wonder how they're going to police the "you have to spend it in the US" aspect of the $5,000 bribe. Unless it's like, a book token.

Everyone: Haley Stevens endorsing Mike Rogers is the weirdest thing you could possibly do just before the election. Trump: Hold my beer.
