A huge congratulations to Biotecture Development Director, Tom Brazington, who has completed one of the toughest endurance challenges, The Triple Brutal. That’s three back-to-back iron-distance triathlons, over a 7.2-mile swim in 16°C water, a 348-mile bike ride, tackling 24,000ft of elevation and crosswinds reaching 40mph and a 77.2-mile run. After more than 62 gruelling hours and 40 seconds of swimming, cycling and running through North Wales he finished in fourth place overall. This incredible challenge is all in support of Tom’s son, Jake, who has autism, Tourette’s and ADHD. To prove that even when life feels impossibly hard, we can reach places we never thought we could. Tersus Consultancy Services, part of Marlowe Environmental Services and Mitie, has secured a £1 million 18-month contract with Nuclear Restoration Services at Dounreay in Caithness, Scotland. The contract will see Tersus provide specialist asbestos surveying, air monitoring and inspection services to support decommissioning activities at the Dounreay site. This Black History Month, we're celebrating the colleagues whose talent, innovation and ambition are helping to shape Mitie for the better. Introducing Mitie Lead Data Analyst, Temi Bakare. After expressing an interest in data and artificial intelligence, Temi joined Mitie’s Priority IPA team as a Mitie Customer Service Agent in our Manchester Technical Services Operations Centre. There he played a key role in developing Barry, Mitie’s first AI Email Bot, alongside other service bots that have created more than 40,000 Service Requests with over 95% accuracy. This opportunity led to his current role as a Lead Data Analyst, driving smarter decision-making by building automated reporting and insight across Mitie.
