Bucs break the club record for the most rushing yards in a game. Now with 313 yards. Both Bucky Irving (170) and Kenny Gainwell (132) over the century mark.
Michael Penix is intercepted for the fourth time, this time by Zyon McCollum, and the Bucs take over at their own 14 yard line with 13:29 remaining in the game. Penix has more INT (4) than Baker Mayfield has pass attempts (3).
Bucky Irving caps the 90 yard drive with his 4-yard TD run. The big run was a 46-yarder. Bucs lead 16-0. They’ve rushed for 244 yards.
Weather and the false start penalty on Luke Goedeke stalls the drive after 60 yards and 13 plays. Chase McLaugjlin kicks a 42 yard FG, his third of the first half, and the Bucs lead ATL 9-0.
Michael Penix Jr. throws his third INT of the first half, this time he’s picked off by Jacob Parrish. Bucs at their own 17 with 12:33 in first half.
The second INT of the game by Alex Anzalone sets the Bucs up at the ATL 19 yard line. But they gain only 3 yards and settle for a 35 yard FG by Chase McLaughlin.
After the Alex Anzalone INT, the Bucs fumble twice on the same play. Baker Mayfield fumbled the snap, then toss the ball backward to Bucky Irving, who ran to the 1-yard before Jessie Bates strips the ball at the 1 yard line and fumbles through the end zone for a touchback.
Bucs win the toss but defer. Unlike last week they will go on defense first vs ATL in a steady rain.
Bucs RT Luke Goedeke is active. Inactives are WR Emeka Egbuka, CB Ayden Garnes, G Luke Haggard, G Billy Schrauth, DL DeMonte Capehart

Bucs WR Emeka Egbuka (concussion) was NOT practicing today after he was limited Friday. RT Luke Goedeke (calf), who did not practice Wed or Thursday, appeared to be working today.
The gloves are off. Baker Mayfield has shed the glove he wore his last two starts on his right hand.
It’s unusual to change coordinators in mid season. I’ve always thought it’s amusing that you will name an interim from the current defensive staff that was next to Evero and in meetings and games and HE had the answers but didn’t share them with the guy who’s now fired?

I understand the defense hasnt been good. but isnt this kinda a surprising move in the nfc south?
ICYMI Michael Penix Jr. is returning home to Tampa as the Falcons starter. He’s also the NFC Offensive Player of the Week. “He can sling it,” Bucs linebackers coach Larry Foote said.
