With football at this level pressure + momentum doesn’t mean anything without goals. Canada played an excellent match but ultimately it went down to quality in the final 3rd where there was a HUGE difference, Morocco was able to show despite limited moments.

Clear issues with Portugal’s structure in possession. Vitinha routinely stepping into the backline to receive the ball. Big gap between them and final 3rd. Very difficult to break down a low block if you insist on having 3-4 players behind the first line.

Brazil are begging for a player of Rodrygo’s profile right now. Both wingers are inverted and neither of them have the profile to combine off of Cunha. Need to either bring in Neymar to link central or push fullbacks to half space and isolate wingers 1v1 outside.

Besides smashing Qatar with 2 red cards, Canada looked absolutely toothless at home in both games. Plenty of fast & athletic players and not 1 player in the squad with creativity especially in tight pockets between the lines.

Both are correct: If you don’t keep possession well then it’s difficult to counter press. Gaps are too big and it’s tough to maintain that level of energy for 90. We saw this vs PSG countless times especially with Kane dropping lower into the half space and playing long passes.
Tom Bischof on the many goals conceded recently: "We're simply not doing the basic things anymore. We're lacking that counter-pressing immediately after losing possession. I've noticed that from the sidelines. That's why we're making so many long runs – and conceding so many goals." Vincent Kompany was then asked whether he agrees with Bischof: "No, of course not. The young player made a mistake in this interview. You can't counter-press a hundred times if you lose possession quickly. That's the problem. The problem isn't the intention behind the counter-pressing. It's about not always feeling like you have to score 3-4 goals in the first 10-15 minutes and rush things. That's not possible. We started well for 10 minutes, then lost a bit of patience, and then it just gets more difficult. I'll definitely speak to him [Bischof] about it. I'm sure he'll say the same thing in a few years" [@SkySportDE]

Wingers that can’t dribble should just play full back instead.

Konrad Laimer changed the entire game today and systematically is Bayern’s most important player imo. It’s not that he’s a direct threat to score/create chances, but he has the energy & positional awareness to sprint deep into the half spaces 20-30 times in a row. Forces opposing wingers to defend lower, in the right spot for counter pressing and opens up 1v1s for the near side winger also.

A platform is needed to settle debates like this! @vazainc will be huge because these discussions never end
🚨 You need a goal in the final 10 minutes of a match to win... You have one substitution left and these two players on the bench: Luis Suarez Karim Benzema Who are you bringing on?

What if every viral debate became a market instead of a comment section? @vazainc

Athletes are a small market. The product costs too much to make. The product costs too much to sell. Your valuation is too high. Consumers aren’t going to want it. Hardware is too hard. You should measure steps. Fitbit is going to kill you. You can’t build a marketing engine. You can’t raise enough money. You need a real CEO. Google is going to kill you. You can’t be a subscription. You can’t build a brand. You can’t do consumer in Boston. Your valuation is too high. You shouldn’t make accessories. You shouldn’t make apparel. Lululemon is going to kill you. Real Madrid low block and Pep started 3 players dangerous in transition. Shocking choices. Ait Nouri, Cherki, Reijnders maybe even Marmoush/Foden suited this game much better.
