Since 2020, OCPS has contributed nearly $301 million beyond regular premium payments to support employee health insurance coverage and the financial stability of the District's benefits program. This includes a $20 million transfer from the General Fund to the Employee Benefits Trust this fall to help maintain solvency and ensure continued access to healthcare benefits for employees and their families.
