Whether the women's Blood and Guts is "midcard"[1] or not, it's effectively "about" the women's tag titles. Conversely, men's match has the current World, International, TNT & tag champs.
The top 2 @AEW execs are brown (me & Megha)!! Jade, Bowens, Caster, Dante, Nyla, Isiah & Marq Quen all won on tv this month. The TBS Title Tournament has been very diverse. I let Swole’s contract expire as I felt her wrestling wasn’t good enough. #AEWRampage Street Fight TONIGHT!

If "fill the 'designated 6th slot' (that AEW swears they established was always a thing) is needed, why would TBS title scene get to declare dibs on that[1] and not the World title feud? 1/2

Note: It's presumed that Kris Statlander and Mercedes Moné were added to last year's Blood and Guts because highlighting the World title and AEW's biggest stars, in the biggest, most historic match, was important. I guess this year it's ho hum and B&G doesn't "need" the wattage.
