You secured your workforce.
You secured your customers.
...But what about your AI agents? 🤔🤖
They’re already inside your systems—connecting, deciding, acting.
Most without identity, and that’s a problem.
Fix it with Okta for AI Agents ➡️ bit.ly/3PGzRsq #OktaSecuresAI
AI models are finding software vulnerabilities—and chaining together exploits—faster than ever before.
Performative panic? No. A wake-up call to nail the fundamentals? 100%.
As Todd McKinnon shared with Jim Cramer on Mad Money, even in a world of next-gen AI threats, most breaches still happen the old-fashioned way.
Lock down the basics with phishing-resistant MFA and timely patching, and you take the easiest targets off the board.

Always great to join @jimcramer to cut straight to what matters. Following the critical PHP vulnerabilities uncovered by frontier AI models, there’s a lot of fear about how fast threat actors can find flaws and chain attacks together. That threat is real, but expecting enterprises to patch decades-old software overnight isn’t realistic on its own. That’s why layered defense and modern identity are so critical.
The fact is that far more organizations will be hacked today through phishing than a zero-day software vulnerability. With AI supercharging social engineering, punishing employees for clicking a convincing link is a losing game. We already have the tech to stop the root cause: When Okta researchers analyzed 6,000 real-world social engineering attacks this month, strictly enforcing phishing resistance at sign-in would have stopped 99.75% of account takeovers.
At the same time, identity is now about more than just humans. As we’ve seen with major banks restricting consumer AI agents from accessing customer accounts, companies urgently need standards to distinguish trusted agents from malicious ones.
Securing this era, from human sign-ins to the new wave of agents, requires the entire security ecosystem to step up, drop the complexity, and work together through efforts like @the_blueprintai. Customers shouldn’t have to be configuration experts to stay protected against preventable attacks.

Resolving the tension between security and innovation is simple, but not easy: We need visibility and control across every system that agents touch.
Okta is proud to be a part of the @nvidia OpenShell ecosystem to advance AI security at the infrastructure level.
Today, NVIDIA announced the NVIDIA OpenShell Reference Architecture for safe AI agents, which combines controls, accelerated computing, and independent security enforcement in an open architecture.
Together, we’re collaborating on how to extend identity, authorization, and governance into the agent runtime, helping sandboxed AI agents operate securely across the full AI stack.
AI access has a resale value now. And criminals have noticed.
As demand for frontier models rises, an underground market is offering premium AI access at prices that look almost too good to be true.
Sometimes the “discount” comes from stolen session tokens and API keys. Sometimes it's fueled by fake accounts and abused promotional credits.
Either way, someone else is picking up the tab.
Okta Threat Intelligence went inside the underground AI economy to understand how AI access is being stolen, manufactured and resold—and what security teams can do about it.

I recently spoke with @ErleNorton at @WSJ to talk about leadership and staying challenge-driven.
When you lead a company from day one to $3B+ in revenue, every milestone presents a totally different challenge. Early on, it was simply proving we could build something people wanted. Today, leading an entire company through the agentic AI platform shift requires a whole different muscle: conditioning the organization to embrace change.
As leaders, especially during tech shifts, it’s tempting to look for an expert playbook. But the reality is that no one has all the answers. You have to trust your instincts, get out of the building to listen to customers, and give your teams a reason to care about where you’re going.

Great to see the momentum behind Personal Agent Protocol, and proud that @Okta is helping shape it.
On Tuesday, Sierra announced Personal Agent Protocol with Meta, Genesys, Instinct, Rocket, Shopify, Stripe, and Walmart. The response has been incredible and today we’re publishing the first draft of the protocol at personalagentprotocol.org and announcing 35 new design partners.
As personal agents take on more, our goal is simple: consumers have choice and control, and companies know when they’re dealing with an agent and who it represents.
This draft is a starting point. We’d love for companies, developers, and personal agent builders to read it, give feedback, and help us build an open standard together.

It was great to spend last week visiting with employees, customers, and partners across Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.
I saw firsthand how European companies are moving every bit as fast on AI agents as companies in the US, but hitting the exact same challenge: The broad access that makes agents more capable and valuable are the very things that introduce new security risks.
To innovate without sacrificing security, organizations need visibility and control over their agentic stack. They need to know where agents are, what they can do, what they’re actually doing, and how to respond if something goes wrong.
Right now, every vendor in the market is claiming they can do it all, leaving enterprise customers confused about how to actually secure their AI roadmaps. Our goal is to bring clarity to that conversation: explaining how @Okta provides the necessary identity foundation in collaboration with the broader ecosystem through the @the_blueprintai.
We closed out the trip by joining a town hall at our office in Amsterdam. EMEA is a massive driver for Okta, and our local teams are executing with incredible focus to help our customers succeed. What we offer customers has never been more relevant and the opportunity ahead of us in the region is massive.
Thanks to everyone across EMEA who made this trip so impactful. Energized for what's ahead!

Okta moves inline to police what AI agents actually do ift.tt/zNHynfL
September, in five headlines:
→ Biggest Oktane ever
→ Joined the @the_blueprintai
→ Shipped Agent SSO
→ Launched Okta for AI Agents
→ Extended the Kill Switch
Strip away the headlines, and it all comes down to four questions:
Where are your agents?
What can they do?
What are they doing?
How do you respond?
Answer all four, and security stops being the tradeoff for innovation. It becomes the foundation for it.
September's over. The work isn't.

AI agents can unlock enormous opportunity, but only if organizations have the visibility and control to move fast without sacrificing security.
At this year’s Oktane, I shared how we’re working to make that possible: bringing customers and industry leaders together through @the_blueprintai to co-author a multi-vendor reference architecture for the secure agentic enterprise; advancing Agent SSO and Cross App Access so agents can connect securely across systems; and announcing powerful new capabilities in Okta for AI Agents that give organizations greater visibility and control over agent identities, access, and activity.
The agentic platform shift is moving fast. Security and innovation both have to move with it.
Meet Dex, our first digital coworker, built with Okta for AI Agents to support IT, HR, travel, and expense needs. By testing Dex in our own environment, we’re learning what it takes to manage agent sprawl, maintain visibility and control, and deliver real productivity gains without ballooning IT headcount.
Early results have been encouraging: Dex reached 25% internal adoption in just two weeks, a number that's been climbing steadily since, and has already fielded more than 23,500 interactions.
This is what it means to build technology for the real world: use it ourselves, learn from the friction, and make it better for our customers.

No one company can secure agents alone. That’s why @Okta has teamed up with leading organizations across the industry to launch @the_blueprintai.
The Blueprint Alliance is a multi-vendor coalition that brings together leaders spanning identity, AI, data, applications, infrastructure, and cybersecurity, including @awscloud, @CrowdStrike, @Databricks, @Docker, @GoogleCloud, @Lovable, @Okta, @Proofpoint, @Salesforce, @ServiceNow, @wiz_io, and @Zscaler, along with strategic advisors @GEAppliancesCo, and @WCKitchen. It’s an active commitment across the ecosystem so organizations can operate their agentic stack as a unified, governed system.
Today the Blueprint Alliance also published the blueprint for the secure agentic enterprise. Co-authored by alliance members for open use, this multi-vendor reference architecture shifts security from the traditional network perimeter to a unified, zero-trust, agentic control plane. It gives technology leaders a practical framework to answer four key questions for the agentic age: Where are my agents? What can they do? What are they doing? And how do I respond?
