A home is more than four walls and a roof. It is about belonging to a community and being able to remain part of it. On #WorldCitiesDay, PAHO supports local governments so that more people can build a home in the neighborhoods they call their own.

Did you know that human health is closely linked to the health of animals, plants, and the environment? In 2021, the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) approved its #OneHealth Policy, which promotes an integrated approach to addressing challenges that affect our health and well-being. This approach recognizes that many health risks require collaboration across different sectors and disciplines. The policy promotes joint action to prevent and control diseases, strengthen preparedness for epidemics and pandemics, protect human and animal health, and promote healthier ecosystems. This initiative is part of the #followup and #implementation of the IX Summit of the Americas mandates.
