Happy 3rd Birthday Wenzatops!!! π₯³ππ
@pixels_online wouldn't be the same without you β€οΈ
I've been grinding to get the Gulletmaw NFT House Skin from Feed the Deep event as a birthday gift for Wenzatops to celebrate! π
For those who aren't aware, feeding/watering is kind of what I'm known for in Pixels β and in two weeks, the streaks will reach 3 straight years... π€―
From the Birthday Pet and this Zombie Witch, Happy Halloween!! ππ»πͺ¦

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! π from @pixels_online
OMG! I did it! π
I got my Gulletmaw NFT House Skin! SO SO HAPPY!!!
It was a grind, but not without the help of my beloved community! π₯°
Honestly, only in Pixels can you end up with sustainable sabotaging that keeps everyone happy. Well, at least that was my experience during this event π
Thank you so much to everyone who helped me on the Rotten Beach! It means a lot! π
P.S. I guess Iβll need to redecorate my land to make it less cute and more creepy now. What do you think? π

Whatβs your best score in Whack-A-Monster?

π¨ THE RESULTS ARE IN! π¨
To qualify for the Gulletmaw SPECK house skin:
Feed Gulletmaw 500 points worth of eyeballs from when this poll ended to when he's FULL and the event ends.
Doesn't matter how many you have in total, just that you've fed 500 NOW.
Good luck ππ¦

The October 28 Pixels AMA took a hilarious turn as Heidi and Alricki brought Halloween madness, friendly competition, community polls and some exciting updates! π¦π
ποΈ A NEW AMA VIBE?
Heidi and Alricki are considering hosting a more relaxed, fun-filled AMA once a month. Less serious discussions, more community fun! π
ποΈ HALLOWEEN NOSTALGIA!
The creepy new Halloween map is actually inspired by the very FIRST map Heidi ever created β now transformed into a darker, more gruesome experience! π
ποΈ EYEBALLS OR PUMPKINS?
The team wants your opinion! Do you prefer this chaotic, eyeball-harvesting Halloween experience or a more traditional, cozy pumpkin-themed celebration? π
βοΈ HEIDI vs ALRICKI - WHACK-A-MONSTER BATTLE!
The competition got intense! π¨πΉ
π₯ Alricki: 66 | 66 | 74
π Heidi: 60 | 67 | 70
π ALRICKI TAKES THE WIN! With a total of 206 points against Heidi's 197!
π THE CHAOS WAS INTENTIONAL!
The Halloween event was deliberately designed as a single shared instance, forcing players to compete for Tide Beds and making the eyeball-farming madness even more intense!
π NEW HOUSE SKIN POSSIBILITY!
A poll is asking whether a Spec version of the event house skin should be added and how players should earn it. Heidi seems to favour rewarding the Top 100 Rotters. π
π‘ EYEBALL LAMP INCOMING!
A creepy Eyeball Lamp is expected as part of the global milestone rewards! ποΈβ¨
π οΈ GAMEPLAY FIXES & IMPROVEMENTS
Heidi showcased features from the latest update, with additional tweaks, bug fixes and downtime planned for later that day.
π AND SOME CLASSIC PIXELS DRAMAβ¦
Someone stole Heidi's kiln after she fired it up. Apparently, even the developers aren't safe from the chaos! π₯
π¨ UGC CREATORS, GET READY!
The Holiday UGC Fair is approaching, and the submission form is expected next week. Time to start creating! πβ¨
π₯ From creepy eyeballs to hilarious competition, this AMA was all about community fun and Halloween madness!
π What would YOU choose - a spooky eyeball-filled Halloween or a cozy pumpkin celebration? ππ

Hey Guys!! The Halloween has arrived in Pixels, bringing the Feed the Deep event to the community ππ». And the team absolutely nailed the formula π₯³π€©!
Instead of starting from scratch, the Pixels team @pixels_online brought together ideas and mechanics from experiences that had already won over the community, creating an event that keeps players active and excited π€©π!
Can you recognize some of the mechanics and references? π€ππππ
1β£If you took part in β¨Feed the Founderβ¨, Luke's anniversary event that was a huge success, you'll probably recognize some of the ideas that made that experience so special π€.
2β£And if you've been missing β¨Spore Sportsβ¨, this event might bring back some nostalgia π€©! Yes, there are definitely some similarities, especially when it comes to sabotage, the need to constantly regulate things, and the competition for soils!π
3β£And how could we overlook the connection to β¨Shorelimeβ¨? If there's planting on the beach, it's practically impossible not to make that association! π
4β£To top it all off, we have references to β¨Neon Zoneβ¨, which brought inspiration from β¨Squeesh the Fishβ¨ into the Pixels universe. Yes, to earn the eyeball seeds, you play a game that brings Squeesh the Fish to mind! π
It's as if the team looked at different experiences that had already worked well, identified what made each one special, and asked, β¨"What if we combined all of this into a single Halloween event?"β¨.
And honestly? That was a great decision ππ€©π₯³!
The most interesting part isn't simply recognizing references or reminiscing about past events π. It's seeing how these ideas can take on a new life when combined, creating fresh reasons for the community to participate, interact, and stay engaged with the game π.
And that makes all the difference π! An event doesn't necessarily have to reinvent the wheel to be amazing π€©.
Sometimes, the secret lies in understanding the game's own universe, listening to what players enjoy, talking to the community, and building on what has already proven its potential to be fun πβ¨π₯³.
Congratulations to @heidichristne and the Pixels team on this fantastic mix π€©ππ₯³! Now it's time to feed Gulletmaw and dive headfirst into Halloween! ππ»π€β¨
See you there! π

Crunch demonstrated some fine eyeball etiquette until the until the tyrant made an entrance. Players were peacefully planting away until Azizzade arrived and sent Brocoli into a rage and Lyd into despair. Catguy chose fertiliser over rot, while the heated rivalry between Mythic and Crunch rages on! ππ±π₯

Love seeing Spore Sports mechanics return to @pixels_online! π₯
Some of the best gameplay came from the real PvP competition these mechanics created. Hoping they can be incorportated into a more permanent aspect of the game.
