Stellar is already #2 chain by number of developers. José wants even more people building - and @riseinweb3 is a big part of it. That’s how José Fernández da Ponte (@JoseFDaPonte), President & Chief Growth Officer at SDF, described the next five years of Stellar when our Stellar Vietnam Chapter Lead Tiffany H. sat down with him at Meridian 2026 in Lisbon. In José’s words, Stellar’s landmark achievement this year was doubling its developer base. A year ago, Stellar was the #9 chain by number of developers. What’s next for the ecosystem: → More people building → More payments and stablecoin volume on the network → More assets on chain, and put to work His one priority: getting assets to work harder for users, as collateral, in secondary markets, in repos and in payments. “There is no value in an asset that is on chain if it just sits quietly in a wallet.” And his advice to builders: reach out to the community, to partners like Rise In, and connect with Stellar’s ambassadors. If your project brings assets on chain and makes them work for users, “you’re in the right direction.” Growing that builder base is the work we do every day.
