The Pulitzer board wasn't moved, but Louisiana's Board of Pardons and Parole was. This is better than any recognition @LouderThanARiot has (or could have) received.

Peace to him and his family, day one fans and supporters who've stayed true till this day.
WELCOME HOME MAC!
After 21 years in prison, McKinley "Mac" Phipps Jr. has been granted parole by Louisiana Board of Pardons and Committee on Parole. Mac (pictured here) is finally home with family after decades behind bars. npr.org/2020/10/23/926291759β¦

Whatβs happening in France is a wake-up call to the entire world. π The cost of living keeps rising while everyday people struggle to survive. People are tired of working hard just to barely get by. Governments need to start listening to the people before frustration turns into chaos. π―ππ½

Lee Ranaldo called his new collab album with AndrΓ© 3000 "balls to the wall."
Earlier this year, we reported that AndrΓ© 3000 had music set to βcome out soonβ with Sonic Youthβs Lee Ranaldo. During a recent interview on East Village Radioβs βElia vs ?β discussing his soundtrack for the upcoming film βThe System,β Ranaldo shared further details on the collaboration, promising it is βnot the delicate stuff on βNew Blue Sun.βββ
β
Ranaldo revealed that the pair worked on the project a year and a half ago alongside Yonatan Gat and two members of AndrΓ©βs bandβCarlos NiΓ±o and Deantoni Parks.β
β
Ranaldo shared that AndrΓ© is playing mostly flutes (15 different flutes, to be precise) as well as βxylophone-likeβ instruments, and heβs also contributing vocals. βItβs pretty far-out music, and itβs a beautiful record,β Ranaldo shared. β
β
Whatever the unreleased project turns out to be, it seems bound to surprise us in classic AndrΓ© 3000 fashion.β

Atlanta is a great example of how Black faces in high places wonβt save us. Nor will a wealthy Black elite. Atlanta has the worst income inequality and highest eviction rates in the United States. βBlack capitalismβ is still capitalism.

My 1st work of non-fiction, Songs My Mother Taught Me: Why The Artist Must Take Sides - is out today wherever books are sold! Iβve never considered myself hiding behind poems, yet the straightforward prose and personal stories in this book have me feeling a bit naked lol.

Listen......the sole fact that Al. B Sure's In Effect Mode, Guy's First Album, Don't Be Cruel by Bobby Brown, New Edition's Heartbreak, and Sade's Stronger Than Pride all came out within a month of each other, from May 3, 1988 to June 20th, 1988 is a damn fool.....

I like Kehlani through and through in part due to irrational solidarity with fellow Taurus women, but the piece of journalism missing right now asks why she had to wipe all political content from her social media before this latest run. From protest songs to folded overnight
