The internet's infrastructure is controlled by three companies. When they go down, everything goes down. When they change pricing, you pay more. When they receive a court order, your app goes offline. We built an alternative.

Last week two frontier models shipped in two days: Gemini 4 Carbon took the top spot on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index, and Mistral's Le Chonk came fifth among open-weights models. They'll trade places again before long. Meanwhile your agent runs somewhere, and where it runs decides who holds its logs, prompts and keys. The November census counted 200+ self-hosted agents on Flux nodes: 179 OpenClaw, 31 Hermes. Running yours: - package the agent as an app and register it with the network - FluxOS places it on independent nodes in 50+ countries - live application logs in FluxOS v8.18, so you can watch it work - the model key stays in your own app config Pick the model you like this week. Swap it when the next one lands. The agent stays where you put it.

Spotted a bug in Zelcore @zelcore_io, SSP @SSPWallet_io, FluxCloud or any other Flux product? A bug that gets fixed pays FLUX. Drop it in the bug-reports channel on the Flux Discord, one bug per post. Include the product and version, your device, the steps you took, what you expected and what happened, plus a screenshot. Blur addresses and balances. The first person to report a bug that gets fixed gets the Bug Hunter role and the reward: 10 FLUX for minor, 25 for normal, 100 for major. Payment goes out the month after the fix ships. Cap of 500 FLUX per person a month. Team members and contractors aren't eligible. Security issues never go in public. Email [email protected] instead; those are covered by the bug bounty of up to 10,000 FLUX. No one from the team will ever ask for your seed phrase, private key or password.

Zelcore 8.40 is out. Swap and send outcomes are confirmed with the network for Solana Token-2022 and top KRC-20 tokens too. dApp scam screening now covers Cardano and Kaspa @kaspaunchained. Desktop has 8.40.1; mobile follows. Your keys still derive on your device.

November census: 2,298 applications on Flux, up 20% in October and nearly double the count at the September whitepaper. 6,912 nodes, and every tier is up. 1,219 of those apps are game servers, 53% of everything running on the network. Dragonwilds alone: 692. 58% of the network is private. 200+ self-hosted AI agents run on Flux: 179 OpenClaw, 31 Hermes. All of this in the month of the first block-reward reduction.

The Forest is live on Flux Games. In co-op the island lives on the host's PC and stops when they log off. A dedicated server keeps it online for the whole group, whoever is playing. Plans from $6.49/month for 4 to 8 players, and you can raise the count anytime. First week free for new users. Five save slots, new worlds in any difficulty, or upload the save from your co-op run. Every server setting is a form in the browser, so there's no SteamCMD or SSH. An admin password gets you /kick, /ban and /save, plus backups, daily restarts, DDoS protection and nodes in 50+ countries. The server checks Steam every 30 minutes and restarts onto a new build once nobody is playing. Provisioning takes about 30 seconds.

Drop is live. Free static hosting on Flux, no account or email needed. Drag an HTML file, a ZIP or a whole folder onto the page and you get a live link at drop.app.runonflux.io. Up to 50 MiB or 5,000 files, replicated across Flux nodes, sandboxed. Want a page kept private? Give it a password. A link lives for 7 days. Claim it and it stays.

Zelcore 8.40 is out on desktop and mobile. Every swap and send now ends with one network-confirmed status: sent, not sent, or still confirming. Also in 8.40, from @zelcore_io: Solana Token-2022 and the top KRC-20 tokens, smoother Ledger sends on EVM chains, and dApp checks on Cardano and Kaspa.

Flux's first annual block reward reduction took effect on Oct 24, on the schedule that has been in the code since launch. There was no fork or migration; nodes picked up the new emission numbers and kept validating. I didn't have to touch anything, and neither did anyone else. This is the kind of protocol event I like best: the engineering discipline was spent years ago, and the date just arrives. Out of old habit I opened the explorer that morning and watched the first blocks at the lower reward land on @RunOnFlux.

The second change in FluxOS 8.22, easy to miss: app ports are now proven over UDP. TCP is ordered, so when a packet drops, everything behind it waits for the resend. Fine for a download, terrible for a shooter or a voice call, where a 200ms-old packet is already history. That kind of traffic runs on UDP, and UDP's price is that a NAT or firewall in the middle can silently eat it while TCP still looks healthy. Nodes on @RunOnFlux now prove the UDP path as part of the health check they run on themselves. The games hub is past 1,200 servers, and every one of them wants UDP.

For businesses, the treasury question this week: how many people, devices and keys must agree before funds move? SSP Enterprise vaults are M-of-N. You choose the threshold, and no single server, person or key moves funds alone.

I don't remember anyone promising numbers like this. The @RunOnFlux games hub is at 33 games and 6,858 active servers across 57 countries, and it piled up one server at a time while we were busy shipping other things. Counter-Strike 2 and six more joined on Oct 28, Abiotic Factor landed right after, and what's running goes from 64-player Counter-Strike 2 servers to BeamMP, where crashing cars with friends is the entire point. First week is free if you want to spin one up yourself. runonflux.com/games

SCUM servers are live today on the Flux games hub. It's a survival game about the long haul: your base, your vehicles, your squad. Peer to peer, the island stops when the host logs off. A dedicated server keeps it running no matter who's online. Plans start at $10.99/month, 64 players on the top plan, nodes in 50+ countries. A loaded island with nobody on it holds about 10.6 GB of RAM, so every plan starts at 14 GB. All 437 ServerSettings․ini settings in a searchable form. Manage admins, bans, a whitelist and a private-server list by SteamID, plus raid times and the trader economy. Backups and automatic updates included. All of it from the browser, without SSH. A SCUM server can't be told to save (we measured this), so its database is copied consistently every five minutes and backed up on start and every six hours. A restart costs at most the last few minutes. First week free for new users. Get your server:

When one machine runs many game servers, the usual fix is a CPU cap per server to keep the peace. An empty server never notices. Then your Friday-night lobby fills, the cap bites, and ticks stretch out until everyone rubber-bands. FluxOS v8.22.0 never CPU-throttles game servers. A 64-player lobby gets the CPU it asks for. App ports are now proven over UDP as well as TCP. TCP retransmits a lost packet and holds back everything behind it, which is fine for a page load and fatal in a gunfight. UDP sends each packet once, and game engines are built for that. The same release carries database and host-stall fixes, the kind you notice on servers that stay up for months.

33 games on the Flux games hub. 6,800+ servers running right now across 57 countries. Seven joined on Oct 28: Counter-Strike 2 at $5.99/month for up to 64 players, plus Conan Exiles Enhanced, Sons of the Forest, Soulmask, BeamMP, Vintage Story and ARK: Survival Evolved. Abiotic Factor followed, from $5.49/month. You manage each server from your browser: restart, backups, location. First week free for new users.
