Hazel Eyes is out today. I don’t think I’ve ever been as proud of myself or an album. Sometimes to grow we have to listen to ourselves and only ourselves. I feel more in tune with my artistry and self than ever before with the release of this record. Above all, this is an album about love. True love. A beautiful friend bumped into Jacob Lusk a few months ago on a flight and introduced us, knowing what a huge fan I am of his incredible talent. When we spoke, Jacob said he was down to come and sing my song ‘My Guy’ with me at the Coliseum. This celebration of queer love felt universal. It was always meant to be a duet, but the result is beyond my dreams. When I sing with Jacob I feel like I’m slow-dancing through the stars. I’ve always loved Lily. Her honesty and authenticity and courage has inspired me from day one. When I first heard this song I wasn’t famous, I was working as a bartender in London.
