Abdul El-Sayed: I’m committed to Jewish safety, and we are united against discrimination. The U.S. spends billions to carry out genocide and apartheid against Palestinians. The genocide in Gaza with our complicity is continuing right now. Nobody wants to talk about that.

The only way to get this Democratic party to do things like this is to have real LEVERAGE.
An actual POLITICAL THREAT to them.
But people pretending to make such demands would never back candidacies like the one I ran to MAKE that happen.
Democrats should do the Stefanik college president hearings in reverse. Get college presidents on the record saying that students have the right to peacefully protest and to say controversial--even offensive-- things. Get them on the record that scholars should not punished for their views and that universities will protect foreign students targeted for their views. Demand that the last three years of McCarthyism and cowardice end now.

I vividly remember, b/c I wanted to throw something at the TV, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) (Pelosi's bestie and SF neighbor) during lead up to US illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq waving papers around, her voice quivering, fear-mongering, about Saddam's WMD.
Jeffries being speaker would be similar to Pelosi becoming speaker. She rhetorically opposed the invasion of Iraq while pushing the lies that made it happen.
