📌 This week on Santiment Weekly, just delivered to subscribers: 🚨 Binance lost ~$6.3B from its hot wallets on Oct 29, the largest theft in crypto history. $BTC had spent five days flat, then closed the week −5.6% at $76,565. $SOL −7.3%, $ETH −6.3%. $XMR was the only major asset to finish green, the second week running that privacy held up. 📤 Coins poured off exchanges: ~19,200 BTC and ~421,100 ETH across the week. Part of that is the stolen funds, part is holders moving to self-custody. 😨 The crowd broke. The ratio of positive to negative BTC posts hit 0.41, the most negative in three months. Positive posts barely moved, while negative ones jumped 74%. It’s a fear spike, not a loss of conviction. 🫠 ETH’s MVRV slipped below 1.0, so the average holder is now slightly underwater. BTC still sits 46% above cost basis. 📰 Also this week: the Fed held rates, ICE is bringing Hyperliquid-based perps to the US, Polymarket was drained for $2.65M, Ripple won an OCC trust charter, Strategy posted a $19.53B paper-gain quarter, and more. 🚨 One Event Completely Hijacked Crypto’s Attention This Week 🎃 Crypto had several big stories move markets this week. The Fed decision, Strategy’s daily-dividend approval and rising midterm election discussion all created volatility. Then the Binance hack happened and quickly became the week’s biggest story. 🗣️ As we can see, Binance social volume jumped far above every other topic shown here. The spike came as Bitcoin fell toward $76.4K, showing how much more attention the hack received than the Fed, elections or Strategy news. 🗓️ As we see the calendar turn to November, be ready for more ongoing discoveries about the historically large hack on the world’s largest exchange. But don’t discount the early-November impact of the US midterm elections, either. 🔗 Live Social Trends Chart On These 4 Topics: app.santiment.net/s/MqdRjgJ3…

Ali Charts flagged a buy signal on XRP. It’s down ~4% since. 9 of the 10 most profitable XRP whales are short, up $10.5M combined. The only long hasn’t traded since August. scorearena.ai/markets/xrp-up…
XRP FLASHES BUY SIGNAL The TD Sequential has flashed a buy signal on the $XRP 3-day chart. The last three similar signals triggered rebounds of 31%, 24%, and 18%. That makes the latest signal worth paying attention to. But everything depends on $1.25. Hold it, and XRP could rebound toward $1.40. Lose it while whales continue taking profits, and $0.98 could be next.

🚨 Crypto Retracing After Historic Binance Hack 🎃 Crypto’s Halloween-week tape has turned sharply red after Binance’s historic $6.3B security breach. Roughly $1.5B in leveraged positions were liquidated as Bitcoin briefly fell to ~$76.4K, spreading heavy selling across most major assets. 🟢 $PEPE +5%, $SKY +4% and $BCH +2% are rare pockets of strength. PEPE rebounded after exploit-related selling disrupted several tokens, while BCH has seen stronger buy-side flow than most large caps. Meanwhile, $M -9%, $ENA/ $sENA -8% and $PUMP -9% show how aggressively higher-risk assets are being punished. 🎯 $76.4K is now Bitcoin’s key downside marker, while $80K is the recovery level to reclaim. Holding above the hack low and recovering $80K would signal the panic is fading. A clean break below $76K would keep the market in risk-off mode, making isolated green altcoins less convincing as evidence of a true recovery. 🔗 Our Live Data Screener: app.santiment.net/screener?u…

In the 16 hours after the Oct 29 Binance hack, the leverage left DeFi through repayments rather than liquidations, a quieter exit than the selloff headlines suggest. Stablecoin debt across the major lending protocols fell $244M while liquidations came to about $1.9M. 📉 Total stablecoin debt fell 4.4% to $5.29B, its lowest level since Aug 7. 📊 $213M of the decline came between 00:00 and 04:00 UTC on Oct 30, more than double the largest 4h drop since May. 🧭 Repayments in that window hit $383M, against $141M of new borrowing. Debt had already fallen $263M over the three weeks since its Oct 5 peak, and the hack night nearly matched that overnight. 🔗 Explore DeFi stablecoin debt in Sanbase: app.santiment.net/charts/def…

Ethena’s governance token $ENA fell more than 16% in the 4h window that contained the Oct 29 Binance hack. USDe, Ethena’s dollar, slipped about 0.2%. 📉 $ENA hit its lowest 4h close since Sep 18, while ETH fell about 4% over the same window. 🧭 USDe dipped to $0.9974 at 04:00 UTC on Oct 30, and sUSDe is on track for its sharpest weekly drop since the week of the Bybit hack in February 2025. 🔒 USDe supply on Ethereum moved about $1.5M on hack day, against a typical daily swing of around $21M. 📊 sUSDe supply on Ethereum fell about 1.1% on hack day, and transfer volume, while elevated, stayed far below its peaks since May. Through the largest exchange hack on record, the selling landed on Ethena’s governance token while USDe holders mostly stayed put. 🔗 Explore ENA, USDe and sUSDe in Sanbase: app.santiment.net/charts/eth…

Our exchange-flow data picked up the Binance wallet movement within the hour. 📊 $USDT leaving exchanges in the 20:00 UTC hour was more than 8x the next-largest hour since Oct 27. 📊 $ETH outflows in the same hour ran about 3x the next-largest hour since Oct 27. 🧭 Binance says it is investigating a potential security issue and that user funds are safe. It has not called the outflows a hack. A note for anyone reading flow charts tomorrow: a record outflow usually means coins moving into self-custody. This one is not that. The bulk went from Binance hot wallets to newly created addresses, and frozen funds still show up as outflow. 🔗 Explore USDT and ETH exchange outflows in Sanbase: app.santiment.net/charts/usd…

🚨 Uniswap Activity Explodes As Price Begins Reversing Higher 📊 Uniswap just hit two major adoption milestones. Daily active addresses reached 14,591, the highest in a year, while 13,137 new UNI addresses were created, the largest network growth spike since September 2020. ⚙️ The surge follows several major ecosystem upgrades. Aggregator Hooks now route external liquidity through v4, VolatilePair Hooks expanded dynamic pricing, and Unichain’s OP Enterprise upgrade arrives October 29th. UNI is now reversing higher near $7.25 as usage accelerates. 🎯 $7.00 is the key level to hold, with $7.50 the first confirmation of stronger momentum. Holding $7 while active addresses remain elevated would keep $8.00 firmly in play. Losing $7 alongside collapsing activity would suggest the historic spike was temporary rather than the start of sustained adoption. 🔗 Our Live Uniswap Network Activity Chart: app.santiment.net/charts/uni…

🚨 MemeCore And Pepe Explode While Altcoin Laggards Sink 🎢 Crypto’s largest assets are producing unusually extreme outliers. $PEPE is +10% today, while MemeCore’s $M is +6% today and +45% this week. Meanwhile, $ENA / $sENA is down 8% today, with $RAIN -26% and $RYO -36% over seven days. 🐸 Pepe’s move has been fueled by whale speculation and rising derivatives activity, while M’s rebound looks increasingly leverage-driven. RAIN faces lingering supply and liquidity pressure, while RYO’s thinner market makes sharp corrections easier to amplify. ENA’s weakness shows high-beta DeFi assets are still vulnerable when liquidations accelerate. 🎯 MemeCore holding $1.09 keeps $1.20 to $1.22 in play, while PEPE sustaining roughly $0.0000050 would confirm that its breakout still has momentum. If these leaders lose those levels while RAIN, RYO and ENA keep making new lows, treat the move as narrow rotation rather than a healthy altcoin rally. Expanding strength across more large caps would be the stronger risk-on confirmation. 🔗 Our Live Data Screener: app.santiment.net/screener?u…

Bitcoin bulls answering Jason Calacanis keep citing rising on-chain activity. Our data shows flat. 📊 Weekday $BTC transactions averaged 271.8K from Oct 14 to 27, against 278.8K across July to September. 📉 Weekday active addresses averaged 637K over the same two weeks, against 662K for the summer. 🧭 Early October did run hotter, at 295.5K weekday transactions, and has since faded back to the summer range. How we checked: open Transaction Count and Daily Active Addresses on a three-month view and compare weekdays with weekdays. Weekends always dip, so a short window that starts on one can make an ordinary week look like a surge. 🔗 Copy this chart in Sanbase (click Save as) and run the same check on any chain: app.santiment.net/charts/wee…

I dumped it all. The Maelstrom directional book, took profits on $ETH, $ENA, $UNI and other shitcoins. I think we gotta go down to go up. It looks a bit dicey out there in macro and geopolitical land. Going to sit on the sidelines and wait for the all clear signal … Brrrrr

🚨 Bitcoin Exchange Outflows Surge Before Major Macro Volatility 🏦 Bitcoin just saw 14,942 BTC leave exchanges on net, according to our tracked wallet data. This is the network’s largest outflow day in five weeks. The move comes immediately before the Fed decision Wednesday and major GDP and PCE data Thursday. 🔐 The encouraging part is where traders are positioning their coins. Instead of sending $BTC onto exchanges ahead of potentially bad news, holders are moving supply away from immediate selling venues, suggesting less defensive positioning than the macro uncertainty might imply. 🎯 $80K is the first level to defend through the volatility these next couple of days (assuming there could be a bearish marketreaction). Holding it while exchange supply keeps falling would favor a rebound toward $82.5K to $84K. A decisive loss of roughly $79K would weaken the bullish setup, while an $82.5K reclaim after the macro releases would provide much stronger confirmation. 🔗 Our Live BTC Exchange Supply Chart: app.santiment.net/charts/btc…
