A beautifully formatted document can still be an empty suit. Dressing up AI “workslop” in slick formatting doesn’t make it insightful—it just offloads the chore of deciphering it onto your clients. If your audience finishes reading and understands nothing new, you haven’t delivered efficiency; you’ve just assigned them homework and eroded their trust in your brand. #EmmaWalmsley’s pharmaceutical background makes her HP appointment a bit curious, but I’m keeping an open mind. As my August column (bit.ly/4gcv2C0) argued, reinvigorating @HP’s conservative culture will partly define her success. I wish her well and look forward to hearing her plans to revitalize HP once she officially takes over as CEO. Her experience transforming GSK could bring a fresh perspective to a company that needs to embrace bolder ideas. The real test will be turning that perspective into new growth businesses and empowering employees to challenge familiar ways of working. #HP #EmmaWalmsley #Leadership #Innovation #TechStrategy #SmartTechResearch @BrettBFaulk @Thinker360 @TechNewsWorld #RachelCubillo bit.ly/4Ahwt9H

@SpaceX just put the wireless industry on notice, and @Qualcomm is helping power the challenge. Starlink Mobile’s planned nationwide terrestrial 5G network begins rolling out in 2027, with tens of thousands of sites planned under a multiyear agreement. This is a HUGE validation of Qualcomm’s connectivity technology portfolio. SpaceX is betting on Dragonwing platforms to deliver the capacity, performance and power efficiency that a nationwide network demands. My take: satellite reach plus cellular capacity could shake up wireless competition, and Qualcomm just secured a major seat at that table. The ambition is massive. Now comes the hard part: execution. #Qualcomm #SpaceX #Starlink #Dragonwing #5G #Connectivity #SmartTechResearch @BrettBFaulk @QCTonyOC @saschasegan @Thinkers360 @LaurenMiller @TechNewsWorld #DurgaMalladi

📌 Join Us! @cloudsa on @BrightTALK Continuous AI Security Testing Becomes Standard Practice AI security shifts left as enterprises integrate continuous testing for prompt injection, jailbreaks, data leakage, unsafe agent behavior, and adversarial manipulation into CI/CD pipelines. Static checks alone are insufficient for systems that evolve continuously. Automated adversarial testing, red-teaming, and model scanning become as routine as unit tests or dependency vulnerability scans. Continuous testing catches issues earlier, accelerates secure deployments, and reduces production incidents. When: 11/18, 1PM EST Register Here: brighttalk.com/webcast/16947… Joining me? AI demos typically consume headlines, but dependable machines doing useful work will determine who wins. In this SmartTech Research News of The Day deep dive into @Qualcomm Chip Chat with @nakulduggal , I unpack its strategy to bring intelligence into cameras, factories, and robots while making its platforms easier for developers to use. Qualcomm’s ambition is clear, but the real scoreboard is productivity, reliability, and business results. #Qualcomm #Dragonwing #EdgeAI #PhysicalAI #Robotics #IndustrialAI #SmartTechResearch #SmartTechCheck @brettbfaulk #NakulDuggal @QCTonyOC @Prty_N_Pnk @Thinkers360 @technewsworld

Your Engineers Are Using AI You Don't Know About Shadow AI is changing how work gets done. The question is whether enterprise security can keep up. There is a good chance someone inside your organization is using an AI tool you don't know about. Maybe it's a developer using an AI coding assistant on a personal machine. Maybe it's an engineer connecting an agent to internal systems to automate a repetitive task. Maybe it's an entire workflow that has quietly become dependent on technology nobody in security has reviewed. And here's what concerns me. These employees aren't necessarily trying to circumvent security. They're trying to get their jobs done. I recently sat down with Anthony Russell, Founder and Principal Security Researcher at Squid Sec, to discuss AI agents, enterprise security, and the growing problem of Shadow AI. One thing became increasingly clear during our conversation. Organizations are moving quickly to adopt AI, but many haven't established the visibility needed to understand how it's actually being used. That's a dangerous gap, particularly when AI agents can access sensitive information, hold credentials, and take actions across enterprise systems. Here's my question for you: If your security team inventoried every AI tool and agent operating inside your business tomorrow, how many surprises would they find? ⭐ Listen to the full episode: youtu.be/cK8x3P0pDu0 ⭐ Stay in the Loop!
