Mangroves are absolutely fascinating and incredible ecosystems. Not only do they store more carbon than forests but they also create natural buffers that protect coastlines from hurricanes. What is the biggest threat mangroves face today? Being turned into shrimp farms.
Tell me what’s the point of talking about the climate crisis, if we don’t address the elephant in the room? Big agriculture, and big food industries (salmon, shrimp, industrial fishing, industrial meat etc..) are eating away at our nature. We don’t need them to feed the world.
