The UK role in transatlantic security is vital, and I welcome this move to put 🇬🇧 on a credible path towards meeting the commitment made by all NATO Allies in The Hague - to ensure we’re all investing what’s needed to remain ready & able to deter aggression and defend our freedom and security
Good to see President @ZelenskyyUa in Brussels. We talked about the importance of implementing an energy ceasefire as well as NATO Allies’ continuous support for Ukraine, including through the PURL mechanism
Good meeting with 🇧🇬 Bulgarian PM @RumenRadevPM and 🇷🇴 Romanian President @NicusorDanRO about security in the Black Sea & the latest attacks on commercial shipping. NATO has strengthened our posture along the eastern flank including with increasing counter-drone capabilities. NATO will continue to work closely with our Allies in the Black Sea, adjusting our deterrence and defence posture as needed
