We now serve almost 50% of the Fortune 50, and their ambition is driving our growth. Today, we hit $400M+ in ARR, adding over $150M+ in ARR in Q3 alone - that's more in one quarter than we generated all of last year. Also, our growth is accelerating: we took 6 months to double from $100M to $200M ARR, and only 5 months to double from $200M to $400M. Read more: sierra.ai/blog/our-customers…
Every quarter at Sierra, we celebrate the end of the quarter with Double Denim Day (or, as some like to call it, Canadian Tuxedo Day) 👖. This Q3, we needed a lot of denim to celebrate the most remarkable quarter in Sierra's 2.5 year history.
We added over $150M ARR this quarter, bringing our total ARR beyond $400M. Remarkably, we added more ARR in one quarter than we had all of last year.
The most exciting thing to me is that our pace is accelerating. It took us six months to double from $100M to $200M ARR, and only five months to double from $200M to $400M ARR.
@claybavor and I are grateful to our customers and proud of the entire Sierra team.

Agents have moved from mostly reactive, one-and-done support conversations to interactions that can last weeks or months and drive growth. That shift raises important compliance questions for businesses.

What gets labeled FDE is a very wide spectrum right now. What companies like Sierra do well is allow FDEs real autonomy to deliver meaningful customer outcomes while also making meaningful contributions to the core product.
A pivot from SWE to FDE can be an incredible move for lots of people, but make sure the company can give you concrete examples of platform/product work that FDEs have driven before joining.
"Engineer with customer facing skills" is a great pitch but only if you actually get to flex both your engineering and customer facing muscles in roughly equal measure.
I know there's a lot of gloom with the MS buyouts and implications for Microsoft
BUT I wanted to remind that there's still massive pull for FDE hiring across the industry, and AI-related infra folks as I hear. Eg Salesforce is hiring FDEs like mad.
Keep up with the cutting edge, and you'll see more demand than if you don't!
The solution to most problems in science is more science. We need the best researchers working on security so we can have our cake and eat it: the pace we want and the safety we need.
Companies will invest more in AI when they're paying for the value delivered vs usage. It's about charging for outcomes not tokens. @btaylor in conversation with Saul Van Beurden from @WellsFargo.

Today, personal agents either pass as the user or get blocked. With Poppy, companies can decide how agents interact with them.
When an agent connects for the first time, it reads the company's poppy.json, identifies itself, and starts a signed-out session.

A conversation about personal agents, retail, and payments with @btaylor and Mike Storiale, SVP, AI Technology & Transformation, @synchrony
At Bared Footwear a 20-minute call about how a shoe fits is time well spent. A 24-hour wait for a return label isn’t. Their AI agent now handles the quick fixes on chat and email, so the people who know every style can spend their day talking shoes.

Voice agents can handle increasingly complex calls, but often fail on the simple details.
τ-Entity is a new benchmark measuring whether an agent can correctly capture details like names, phone numbers and email addresses, recognize when it might be wrong, and repair the mistake.

Sierra at Open@Epic! AI agents built on Sierra connect directly to @HeyEpic, so patients can easily verify their identity, book or reschedule appointments, and send questions to their care team. Excited about what’s next for healthcare customers running on Epic.
How well do voice agents work across languages — and how natural do they sound?
Today we’re introducing 𝜏-i18n (pronounced tau-internationalization), which extends 𝜏-Voice to five more languages: Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Hindi, Korean, and Mandarin. We also included two new measures for voice quality beyond task completion: interaction, and generation quality.
